Default Valhalla PD Static Group Recruiting

    Hi all,

I'm a relatively new player to DDO. I picked up the free game a few weeks ago and was quickly hooked. Now I'm a VIP and have made a dozen characters, but I haven't had time (obviously) to experience most of the quests. In fact, my highest level character is only level 5. (My highest guild character is level 2!)

I was playing last night in "The Seal of Shan-to-Kor" and it was awesome! I was on the edge of my seat, exploring caverns filled with giant fungus and a hobgoblin city. But I was thinking constantly about how much I wanted a party that I could trust to explore this quest with me. All the PUGs (this was with my non-guild character) I've been with seem to be "churning" through quests that they've played dozens of times, leaving me in the dust. I want a group in which we can explore all the quests of this great game at a pace that allows us to thoroughly enjoy the experience.

I'd like to recruit a party from within the Valhalla guild with the intent of playing through all (or at least most) of the 220+ quests in DDO. Clearly, this is a monumental challenge, but I guess we have to start somewhere. I'd like to recruit 5 players who are interested in playing through all the quests together as a party. If you haven't played all the quests before, that's actually a plus, because neither have I! We can explore together!

I have a paladin (Ozland Valorious) in this guild who would be a perfect character to "recruit" your PC for adventuring. I haven't worked out the logistics of how everything would work, and I guess that would depend on the group.

I think to make it a well-rounded group, we ought to have:

    1. a Cleric, Favored Soul or primary healer.
    2. a Wizard, Sorcerer or primary blaster.
    3. a Rogue, Ranger or primary scout.
    4. a Fighter, Barbarian or primary tank.
    5. Any additional or specialized supporting character.

I've no definite plans about when we'd quest, but I'm guessing something regular would be good. We could use these forums to communicate and plan quest times. I'm pretty hooked on this game, and have time to play most nights from 9pm-1am CST. I'd like to at least play once a week if possible.

Thinking about the inevitable (but hopefully rare) character death, I was thinking we could work together to support the "levelling up" of a replacement character, or recruit a similar level character from the Valhalla guild. If a player decides to depart, then we'll recruit a character of similar level from the Valhalla guild.

Once we reach 5th level, I'll buy one resurrection cake for each player, if this is permissible by Guild rules (I think it is, based on what I read). Once we reach 9th level, we'll be able to rely on our Cleric/Favored Soul to provide resurrection for our party members (again, so long as its compliant with Valhalla Guild rules). Hopefully, if we've made it that far, we'll have the skills and stamina take it all the way.

I'm very interested in comments and questions from anyone who is interested in this. And I plan to go online periodically with Ozland this week to see about recruiting "in character".

Thanks for taking the time to read this. It's a great game and a great guild!
    -Ozmar (aka Ozland Valorious)
