Default The Rise of The Church of Tyrilath (RP Guild now recruiting)

Like the mighty Phoenix rising from the ashes, the great Church of Tyrilath shall too rise again. What once was shall be again.
The Church of Tyrilath was once a refuge, a gathering, a haven for heroes of all reaches. Together they protected Stormreach and its surrounding communities. As a force they rose and conquered evil across the lands. A family with tight bonds and ties, they fought side by side day after day. Their only goal was defeat evil, protect the innocent and those who could not protect themselves. Over time their protection was not needed as it once was, and the member found themselves traveling farther and farther from Stormreach to help others in Xen'drik and beyond. As the city of Stormreach calmed more and more of the Tyrilathian heroes parted ways moving on to places they felt more needed.
Then one dark night a horrible fire caught onto the churches main building burning it to its core. Some lost their lives that night and the building and its annexes were lost forever. In that moment, most of the heroes moved forward with other plans. Some settling in Stormreach and the others beyond. Some followed their friends and others went off on their own.
A small group of Tyrilathian heroes found their way back home and upon their return the Archon of Tyrilath, Cyren El'tegh and the others felt and old familiar tug at their hearts and the Church calling back to them. They wandered through the woods north of Stormreach, back home, back to Tyrilath. After surveying the property, and their pillage from adventuring they knew it would only do justice to rebuild. Together these returning heroes put their funds together, their hearts and heads and found a way to build the Church once again. This time it was reinforced with protective spells and walls.
While they would never forget those long gone and those who fell in battle before them they realized it would only be right to build in their names. Thus, Tyrilath was restored in the names of those who passed, who moved on but also to those to come. And as each name was etched into each brick before it was laid they honored those they loved, those they missed and those they would greatly fight along side again.
And with the last brick laid, it is with great honor to open the doors of Tyrilath again!

If your heart seeks to protect, to venture, to find camaraderie in a world harsh and rigid; if you seek refuge or redemption then here is where you belong and we open our arms to you! We are not a church along, simply our first stronghold was held in one. We are protectors, we are warriors, and priest and wizards and hunters. We accept all, as long as your have the heart to fight along side us.

    OOC:

The Church of Tyrilath was once a family of roleplayers whose characters came together for a common cause. We valued each other, we stuck together as long as the game allowed us too. We only seperated due to lack of content. It was not enough to keep us as one. But with a new error in DDO, some of us have found our way back home and we would like to open that home up to you.
We are hardcore RP guild. We offer story arches, storylines, character development, a safe haven so to say for roleplayers alike. There will be planned groups, RP events and server events. Or biggest concern is each other and being there for one another, so guild groups are most encouraged. If you seek a guild that you can call a family, a place where you can roleplay with freedom to portray your character in an open manor then perhaps we can find you a bed here without our safe haven.
Please not while we are called The Church of Tyrilath, the main focus of the guild is on the settlement of Tyrilath which was established with the main members some 3 years ago. The church is where the main living quarters of the members is housed. Rogues, wizards, and all other classes along with clerics, and paladins are accepted alike. Hey, the guild is ran by a sorceress.

If you think we are the guild for you please check out our website http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.asp...&TabID=2754793 for more information.
If you are interested please contact me @ cyreneltegh@gmail.com or PM me here or you can reach me in game on Wynde, Irori, or Cyren-Thelanis. Or you can reach Thorn-Thlanis, Eika, or Domminion in game. Website will be by tomorrow night and I will post a link there where applications can be posted. As soon as everything is set up in game we will start issuing invites ASAP!

    what time zones?

My wife and I are looking for a family RP guild that is active during CST/EST. Old players since the release of the game but left due to lack of content and level cap then was 10. With all the new features we have comeback and are having hard time finding decent people to group/adventure with.

    Default Welcome

    Welcome to Thelanis.

You will find a wonderfully diverse roleplaying community here. I encourage you to seek out the other Role-playing guilds. The more the merrier!

We also host a weekly tavern role-play session that is open to all role-players Thursday nights in the Phoenix Tavern. This is a meet and greet as well as an opportunity for some ongoing storylines exposition. We call this Thelanis Thursday. http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=117502

The allied role-playing guilds are here to help and I encourage you to seek them out. I have listed them below for your convenience.

    Dawnswords
    The Crimson Nexus
Order of the Sword and Rose
    Fellowship of the Golden Nights

"Why no mister Paladin, sir. These coins are not stolen. They were left laying on the ground and as a good citizen I just couldn't leave them there for someone to trip over. Now, could I?"

Thank you. It will be nice to be back. After a 3 year hiatus due to lack of content, I can only hope we can rebuild to at least remotely what we were.
