    Default Least Favorite Quest

I commented in the other thread that TOR is by far my favorite quest(that I have done). It got me thinking about the "bad" ones.

The one I can't stand the most is VOD.

    1. There is no rational way to beat the quest currently. (possibly be different at level 20)

    2. Stand in one room.

    3. Half of the characters in the raid do very little after the fighting starts.

    4. Use a ton of resources and then wipe 95% of the way?

IMO it is just boring and the most not-D&D quest in the game. Oh well.
Anything that doesn't kill us can still hurt really bad.

Have to go with Fluffy as well, Threnal East 3, still sucks even with being able to heal Coyle.

I also have to say the Shadow Crypt, hate that one, the teleporting maze and underwater swim area in low lit rooms just sucks.

The quests I don't like are all about the same--standing in one room (essentially) fighting a big, evil bad guy:

Thernal South 3, VoD, Abbot (ok, you get mini-games), DQ, Hound, Titan, Von6, Stormreaver, Devil Assault (kind of like that zombie game my son plays on xbox), ... you get the picture.

Once upon a time Coal Chamber would be on that list, but I've grown rather fond of it lately. I can't wait to get Tink in there with her new mic and see what it sounds like!

    Shadow Guard.

Never understood why it's designed to make us swim so..damn..much. I used to hate Shadow Crypt as much until I got used to back-peddaling through each teleport quickly.

Titan, at least the rest of the 1 room quests have something for other characters to be doing. Titan, one person does the pillars, one does the laser, and one heals. Up to 9 other people literally just stand there.

Lots of easy rational ways... get with a good group.

Well played you wont burn through many resources outside of a few heal scrolls

    Everyone participates???

    Sounds like bad grouping...

There are walkthroughs throughout the site. Use them. It's possible to beat it, including on Elite.

Freshen the Air - Do that one on elite at level 6.

Also I think Proof is in the Poison is another quest I would have to throw in there as well.

The Faithful Departed -- it's nearly impossible and often fails late in the quest. Have to avoid killing the venerated -- easy with the right party perhaps, but really, really tough with the average PUG!

Standing in one room is a little unimaginative, but it definitely beats quests like Coalescence Chamber where you seem to be running forever.

As far as the ton of resources to wipe 95% of the way, at least VOD and Hound are reasonably short quests. What I hated were Von and Titan at cap, where you spent a huge investment of time in the first part (with 95% chance of success), and spend a very short time in the second part of the quest where you had a high probability of failure. (Not to mention the huge reflag for Von.)

I do agree that Tor is a great quest. When the devs revisit some sort of dragon-based storyline, a revamp of that quest at current cap would be pretty cool.

One of my faves, although I did wipe trying Elite with my level three guy...

    Tips for Freshen:

    1. Do not enter the rooms until all above threats have been eliminated.
    2. Go clockwise around main room doing the same.
    3. After threats have been removed, work on boxes ONE at a TIME.
    4. Second level, pull back to a strategic position.
    5. Shrine, shield block door and pull all inhabitants to the door and eliminate them.

I love this quest may try Elite with my level 4 tonight!

    My advice is this:

Skip all doors, and proceed to the end boss. If you can complete this , and not lose the mummy, than the rest is cake.

Better than doing all the rooms and THEN wiping at end fight.
