    Question Yet another VIP/F2P Question

    If I'm a VIP and on a 6 month subscription (billed every 6 months) and I downgrade during that pay period. I understand that I remain VIP until my subscriptions run out. My question is even though I still have 'VIP' time and have effectively cancelled my account. Will I be able to buy Adventure packs while I wait for my subscription to run out? (Can I take advantage of savings <adventure Packs> that other F2P people are getting during that time?

    If I paid for this months subscription but cancel today, will I still enjoy the benefits of VIP until my subscription runs out or will the VIP benefits disappear completely even though I still have 20 days left that I already paid for?

    Default Bank slots question

    My daughter and I stopped playing DDO for a while, but did not downgrade to premium. However, since I was not paying attention to the game, my credit card info expired and we were downgraded to premium. I recently reactivated her paid account, but she only seems to have one bank slot. What happened to all the other slots and the items she had in them?

    Jaqull lvl 16 (exp capped, 1750+favor) drow wizard, Melthus, level 13 human cleric, Ghezzidd, level 9/3 drow ranger/rogue, Barleyhops level 16 dwarven cleric

    If we have multiple toons, and our account has lapsed, then downgrade, do we get a chance to get the property off each character we dont keep? ie get a chance to log in and put the toons equipment in the shared vault to be used by the toons we keep?

    No, You will be allowed to pick which characters you want to keep at the character selection screen once your account lapses. You will be unable to log into to any character you did not pick.

    So all their gear is gone unless I upgrade again. It says I am premium, with a catch, in my account tab.

    Your subscription has been suspended due to non-payment. Please re-enter your billing information or apply a Game Card now to reactivate your subscription(s).

    You would be considered a premium player. Anything unlockable you buy from the store stays if you cancel your monthly subscription.
    700+ HP? 90+ AC? TWF DPS and Hate?

    A. Nothing happens; you'll still have them!

    Q. What about items in my shared bank slot?
    A. If you downgrade to a Free account, the items will go to a "withdraw only" status. You can remove them, but you cannot place any items back in unless you purchase the shared bank slot from the DDO Store.

    Q. What if I decide to go back to VIP status? Do I get a credit for the things I've purchased?
    A. We're sorry, but there are no refunds or credits for Free players who decide to become VIPS, so choose your path carefully before downgrading! If you’ve purchased any additional character slots above the 10 you get as a VIP, you will still have access to those slots.

    Q. What happens to items I purchase if I go back and forth between Free and VIP?
    A. Anything you've purchased as a Free player will still be yours if you upgrade to VIP and then back to Free.

    Q. If I downgrade, what content will I still have access to?
    A. You'll be able to access any content a Free player can access. Additional content will need to be purchased in the DDO Store before you can access it, even if you could access it when you were a VIP.
    Okay, so even though I've paid for all my characters, and spent the time to level them up, once to go from VIP to F2P I have to rebuy the classes?! What the hell?! Keep in mind that I have been paying 14.99 a month I have to pay again?! I've paid for them, fair and square!! So, why should I have to lose them?! - Okay that is a frickin rip-off!!

    Also, along with the DnD client that keeps giving hundreds of gamers the same errors over and over. Keep in mind that there are NO system changes on our part, but yeah it's OUR problem *Sarcasm*. Yes, sometimes it works, sometimes it won't. FIX IT!

    You're ripping off your customers with the poor service you're (SUPPOSE TO) offer them. If this continues me, my friends, and my guild WILL go to F2P. Yes, you can afford to lose a few dozen people, but if this problem keeps reoccuring we will not be the only ones who will quit...

    If I buy a couple adventure packs, 32 point builds, etc, and upgrade to VIP, then eventually downgrade for whatever reason, will I still have the content I purchased as premium user or will I have to buy that again?

    The maximum of char slots you can have is 30 (http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Account_Types), so after you have choosen the 14 toons and decide you want access to the archived 6 toons just buy a new char slot and you are done, and as you never can have more than 30 toons the problem won't arise when you get into that range.

    If you allow your account to go to Premium without bringing down the number of toons to your new level.
    (As the above example 20 toons as a VIP and the new limit is 14)
    Without buying extra slots, if you delete some of the toons after looting them will other toons in limbo become available to be used or are they lost in the ether once you choose the number available under the new limit you live under as a premium customer?

    I wasn't in that situation yet (and probably won't get any time soon) but iirc you can choose one of the archived characters when you free'd up another slot.

    But beware, I am not sure about this and haven't found an official statement about this after a quick look up (though I am sure that there is a thread by Tolero hidden somewhere which has the information inside)!

    Yeah, I would really like an answer to this too ASAP. Today HORC is 50% off however I bought the 9.99 deal for 3 months. I NEVER intended to stay VIP and I do want to keep HORC, but I can't take advantage of the sale because I am currently VIP? That's pretty weird. I understand the whole carrot/stick idea, but as I said, I never intended to stay VIP in the first place and I can't give Turbine even MORE money atm because I am VIP? What a weird decision.
