    My first inclination.

After looking at a list of positive adjectives, I think it might also be "Affirmative Outlook."

Either way, it means yes, Phax's comment likely holds true.

Now that I have thought about it a little - I think the answer is:

    Outlook Good

    Thank you Magic 8 Ball.

I tried removing all the letters and converting the resultant binary to hexadecimal and then converting to ascii, but that came up nothing.

I like the morse code solution, and that seems like it's too big to be a coincidence, but I do wonder why the last word is "adjectived" instead of adjective. Adjective as a verb that one does to something in the past tense? That's odd. But why go through that much attention to detail and then flop an errant "d" at the end?

Puzzles aren't my thing. I'll admit to being impressed with some of this inventive code breaking. Good job guys. I'm not good with music either.... however why would she link a song to this. Perhaps the letters corresponding to the various musical keys the song is sung in play a part as well. Someone with a good musical knowledge would need to tackle that.

    o were treated as "Dot"

Converted from Morse code, it looks like this:

    DEVITCEJDA
    EVITISOP
    SULP
    TCUDORP
    ECIFFO
    TFOSORCIM
    A
    SLAUQE
    NOITSEUQ
    RUOY
    OT
    REWSNA
    EHT

Reverse the letters and you get:

"The answer to your question equals a microsoft office product plus positive adjectived"

    Any ideas? Comments?

    Thanks.

    GREAT JOB !!!!!!!

I double checked this using this converter... it is an absolutely accurate assessment. It is would be way too wierd to be accidental, so this is the right direction!!!

Now, the "d" at the end of the could have been a fat fingered "s" making the word "adjectives", not "adjectived."

The answer to your question equals a microsoft office product plus positive adjectives.

Now we just have to tie in the song and make sense of this riddle a bit.

I think we got this thing licked. The tie in to the song does not make sense except as a clue in to the idea of morse code. GIR does kinda does sound like he is singing in a morse code rythym. The Magic Eight Ball stock answer also makes complete sense and fits Tolero's MO.

So, OUTLOOK GOOD is our final answer to the puzzle she gave. Tolero, you owe us an explanation as to whether or not it means...

    1) The OUTLOOK is GOOD that V&M will be released with MOD9.
    2) The OUTLOOK is GOOD that the statement PHAX made that V&M will not be released with MOD9 still holds true.

Now we just got to wait for Tolero to get to work tomorrow to get a thumbs up or thumbs down on this and I think she owes us a clarification as to which one she means.

    GREAT JOB GUYS!

BTW 1 - I think Bakigrth deserves a "Master Code Cracker" forum title for that one! Sweet crack to a tough puzzle!!!

BTW 2- Something a few guildies brought up is the MICROSOFT tie in? Could it be an X-BOX clue??? Non-plussed if it it, but it does make you go "Hmmmm...."

Its like a finger pointing at the moon. Dont look at the finger or you will miss all the heavenly glory.

Tolero is indeed human, hopefully with a life. - She likely does not have time to post puzzles in binary and she is not a machine. so very likely the puzzle is a lot simpler than you would think.

Men and women look at things very differently............. so my suggestion would be to have your significant other (the one who solves the suduko puzzles) look at the clue and see if she can pick out any weird or common occurances of the words/numbers

see what they come up with.

Dont assume the puzzle is so difficult that you would need a specialist to solve it.

I believe OUTLOOK GOOD means that V&M is likely to be revealed with Mod 9, which would lead to the answer to your question in the OP being NO.

Ooooh yes forum title, very nice work! I like to call that puzzle "the longest way to say no ever" though rather than no I'd say it's more like a weather forecast :X

Dex is correct - the song is just to throw you off and I liked the way it sounded
Gelandor is correct - "outlook good" is the specific phrase
and of course Bakigrth is correct in his interpretation of the code

Is V&M the cause for the delay of Mod 9?

Please feel free to answer in the form of a puzzle.

So, what you are saying is that Phax's statement no longer holds true and that V&M and MOD9 will be released together???

"Outlook good" standing for "Very likely to see Super Secret with Module 9"?
