Default "Prove Your Worth" puzzle frustrations

I've been struggling with this for the last hour or so and still can't figure it out. The solution I saw listed when I searched the forums doesn't work and at this point, I'm begging for a spoiler just so I can finally finish this dang quest.

    Ok GIANT SPOILER

Spoiler coming... you sure you want to keep reading???

Ok heres how you do it. Stand by the red/green crystal lever. Face towards the 3 levers on the ground with green crystals near them. Hit the right hand lever to light up the right hand crystal. Then turn to the right to face the light-path puzzle. Turn the light so that it activates the right hand glow-rune. Go hit the lever with the red/green crystal next to it. Then hit the lever next to that lever (it resets the dart).

Next face the 3 green crystal levers again. Hit the left lever to light up the left green crystal. Turn left to face a glow-path puzzle. Turn the light so that it turns on the right hand glow-rune. Turn right to face the next glow-path puzzle. Turn the light so that it lights up the left glow-run. Go back to the red/green crystal lever and hit it. Door should open. If it didnt, you didnt follow my directions exactly. Or I forgot something.

ya you usually solve puzzles by doing them, rather than posting on forums

As I said, I'd been at it for nearly an hour. But to clarify, I'd been at it for nearly an hour THEN went looking on the forums for help. I always try to solve the puzzle on my own first; some days I am good at it, some days not so much.

I have a similar experience. In the Shroud part 3, put me in a 5x5, no issues. Put me in a 3x3, and I'm screwed.
Hi, I play Generic Fantasy RPG Online, formerly known as DDO.

As far as puzzles go in DDO, I really liked this one.

Took a bit to figure out but the process of actually figuring it out was fun.

Kudos to the DEV that created this puzzle.

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

Default I had posted this earlier this week

Did you even search for it on the forums?

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=149761

I know I did but no one had posted anything when I posted.

I am only asking because if the search feature did not work then maybe it does not work for other thigns either.

Some people love puzzles, so I hope they enjoy PYW. I hate puzzles. This quest is a video game within an MMO.

AFAIC, it's the new Stealthy Repo.

I'm impressed you got that far. I lost interest in the ladder part. If I wanted to play a mario jumping game I'd go buy a nintendo.

Needless to say, it was the most gratifying feeling I've ever had deleting a quest from my journal in an RPG, ever.

    I liked this one.

If you look at the ceiling as you do it, you should be able to eventually figure out what you have to do.

You fire a dart and it trigger other darts.

    Trace the path.

You first have to get it to open a gate then change it.

If you are really stuck on the puzzles in the game, there is usually a you tube video of how to get through it.

If you've played lots of Jump & Run games in the past, then the ladders are easy for you.

Me, when I came to gaming, I played "Commander Keen IV" a LOT of times ... Duke Nukum, as he was called back then, Cosmo's Cosmic Adventures part 1, Jazz Jackrabbit ... I have had more than enogh training. It really helps.

It trains not only your hand coordination, it also helps you estimate distances - and how long to press and then release a key.
Plus the other hans with the directions key.

All of this jump & run art is now lost. Shooters and ground-running mass-excecution Action RPGs like Sacred, Titan Quest etc. never taucht people this. Instead, they taucht people to stay on the ground, be fast, nd don't use other senses (distance estimations, for example).

Shooters and action games drove the complete Jump & Run genre into utter extinction. who buys these games nowadays ? No-one. "Jump & Run is for kids, not for serious gamers", people seem to think.

So - don't complain. If you don't train before it, it's your own fault.

Same goes for The Pit. (My issues there were different ones, for example having no featherfall item.)

But sometimes even I can't get things right : Several days ago I had joined PUG for "Taming The Flames" ... I just didn't manage to jump over a certain ledge until I switched to +2 Strength gear ...

That doesn't make any sense essentially they are the same puzzle...like the guy who says he's got it but runs all over the puzzle hopping it solves :P
