Thoughts on why they did this:
    1. They have a lot of casual players who played so little that $15/month seemed like too much. So, $10/month
    2. Some players chew through the new content in a month, and then leave for 3-4 months. With a lower price, they'll re-up and won't bother to suspend their accounts.
    3. They're going to drop the annual subscription even more, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
    4. They think they're going to have a huge influx of new players coming up, and wanted to give the existing players preferred pricing.
    5. The new CEO wants to experiment with different pricing models, to see what happens with cancellations and new subscirptions (i.e. are potential players price-sensitive?)
    6. DDO is such a phenomenally profitable game that they felt obliged to give something back to the players

    Any others? :-)

    7) They HAVE had a huge influx of players, they wanna snag em for 6months worth of dollars before they leave the game?

I'm sold! I'm confident enough with what I've seen of DDO to make a 6 month commitment.

Let me add - the deciding factor for me is that Turbine staff meaningfully engage the community via the forums, and display a genuine personal interest in making this game better.

Three accounts switched...a fourth one will be going up before this weekend...someone else will be paying for that one but, this is a nice selling point!

Looking forward to where the ship is taking us!

I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I don’t think you realize that what you heard was not entirely what I meant.

    Dumb observation Im sure but:

I went in, clicked the Special 6 month price, clicked I agree, clicked Submit.

It took me back to the Home billing page and still said in my billing summary that I was on a 3-month plan.

Is this how it is supposed to display until the end of my three months runs out? Or did I mess up and not get the switch done right?

    Thanks for any help.

When I switched from Annual to Bi-Annual, it still reads as Annual until the date runs out, and then notes that the re-up will be for 6 months (which is correct), so unless your 3 months ends today....I think you were seeing the right thing.

Default (subject to certain terms and conditions).

Just what are these certain terms and conditions for the new price? Are they any different than that of the original terms and conditions? I ask this because I couldn't find any.

Sad that I thought to ask after I already changed to the new billing plan. So please give us any of the bad news, since you already got our money.

    Thank You.

The "term and condition" that I saw was that you if you cancel or change billing plans, you will lose the special anniversary rate.

Nothing personal Q, but I think I'll wait to see what is in the "Mysterious" 6.1. The last time I saw this much hype was when SWG released the Trials of Obiwan expansion and then hit us with the NGE. I know you are not SOE but I don't want the "BIG" suprise to be a complete overhaul. I hope you make me regret doubting you but...
