    Default PvP Night 1.0!

Hey All, MOD 5 is on the way. So I would like to get an idea of who all will be there and decide the rules.

First, we need to establish what kind of PvP we want to do. CTF or Deathmatch, I think CTF because in Deathmatch its kind of hard not to spawn kill.

The parties will be a party of 4-6, but we must make sure that ALL teams are balanced. For instance, an all caster group vs a group with 1 cleric, 1 caster, and the rest tanks isn't fair. So we need to decide whether we should have all caster, or all tanks, or if each party must have a certain classes. For instance, 1 cleric, 2 caster, rest tanks.

Here are some rules that I can think of should be implemented. Need ideas for more.

    Rules:

    1. No Spawn Killing
    2. If you use a hold spell you must kill them within a reasonable time limit, for instance, you could just flesh to stone a caster and leave them there so you don't have to worry about them, I think about 10 seconds is reasonable.
    3. Kill people
    4. Follow the rules

I can't think of any more rules so I'm open for all ideas. I think if we do CTF that the crowd control around the flag should be limited. Maybe thats just me.

    Throw out ideas peeps.

heh, bards are rather god like in CTF if they are played right, fascinate, dance/hold then blast the hell out of them with a bursting weapon xD

I Remember when we did CTF a lot in the guild... my bard made it hard for most the enemies to get the flag <.< Lots of Dance spheres on the flag makes it hard for many people to get the flag.

Fixed, nothing ****es me off more than FTS a poor caster and then mass casting of debuffs to leave them there permanently. No one should want to deprive a person of their fun.

yeah, I hate the tactic of holding/dancing/FtS people then just stand there, least if i fascinate people and what not, I'm going to try and kill them, unless their AC's too **** high for me to hit. XD

It was an example Yaga of what could happen and why I don't want it happening, so it's fine the way it is. Also, I personally don't have a big problem with flesh to stone, my caster has a 20 fort save, so i save on about a 7 and above.

Anyways, I'm actually thinking about having no holds in this event, reason being is because people roll low, some more then others So i think I'm just going to make it damage spells only. I'm also thinking about making cometfall not allowed, but you guys can have input on that.

Here is a solution to what people don't and do like. Before you fight the team you are matched with, get in a raid group together and decide on the rules.

Anyone have any input on those ideas?

True but you can't when you are in the PVP pit.
