    Default Rules!

Rule #1: Players must show maturity and respect.

Players in this group must exhibit maturity and respect their fellow teammates/guild. Rudeness, bad behavior, and lack of team work will, if not corrected, lead to ejection from the group. Good will and team cohesion are more important than making sure we have a cleric for example.
Sometimes people don’t see eye to eye, and that is fine. But, if a person cannot deal with differences/disagreements in an adult, mature manner they are not the kind of player this group is looking for. I cannot stress this one enough. The kind of behavior described above can not and will not be tolerated to any lengths and I will not hesitate to remove the offending player immediately.

Rule #2: This group is a true team

These rules are created to mirror the table top gaming experience as much as possible and will not be changed without a very good reason. That being said, things are open to discussion. Feel we need to implement a new rule or possibly change one? Have an opinion on which quest we should be doing or that we shouldn’t be taking on one just yet? Let’s discuss it as a group. Our success and/or failure rests equally upon all our shoulders.

Rule #3: A player's PC is their own.

The group can not dictate to any single member what he or she must play in regards to class or abilities. This rule also extends to play style, like disapproving of a cleric that does not sit in back and heal for the entire quest.
It is your character, your creation. Play him or her as you envision them. Contrary to popular DDO belief, there is more than one way to play a character class and I hope to see many unique PCs in this group but also be mindful that you should not neglect your teammates either. If you have a skill that is helpful to the group you should be using it to further the goals of the team.
Please keep in mind a successful group needs balance and chances of our survival increase significantly if the group is well rounded. That being said, I personally enjoy having all manner of group make-ups as that increases the ability of the team to find new ways to accomplish their goals and overcome challenges. Which is why this became a rule.

Rule #4: No twinking or making use of the player auction

Players may make purchases from the market and shops, sell their spoils to vendors and trade/give items to team mates. Absolutely no sending items to your characters or buying from auction. The choice to ban these practices stems from the imbalance it creates in the team and it also robs the group of a decent challenge at their level. We are not power gamers in this team and should be relying on sharing our resources/treasure with each other to make us more powerful as a whole.

Rule #5: Voicechat is a feature not a requirement.

This team accommodates roleplaying, therefore voicechat is not mandatory. Players that wish to use it to talk to fellow teammates may do so at their leisure, but may not expect other teammates to use voice because they do not want to type.
If you are not a roleplayer that is fine, you can say so, but you must accept that some of us will.
Remember RP is fun! You get a chance to become someone else! Have a good time with it.

Rule #6: PCs in this group may only adventure with other team members.

Hence the name “dedicated.” We play together only. Sorry you avid DDO players you

Rule #7: Quests are consistent with player levels
There is no need that I can think of to continuously wipe in difficult quests because we just had to set the difficulty to max. (because we are all so leet after all :P ) If our party is level 2, we do level 2 quests. Not level 3, 4, or level 2 on elite. (which pushes it up to 3)
One shouldn’t be concerned with getting loads of xp quickly. You will find the xp comes much quicker when you aren’t paying off so much debt.
If the group feels we can do a particularly hard quest we should discuss it and if everyone agrees we can but what I don’t want to see is things like high AC tanks browbeating a squishy into entering an elite quest where death is all but certain for them multiple times. Not gonna happen. Either we all agree or we don’t go, period.

Rule #8: Slow and steady wins the race.

I am very anti Zerg. Rushing ahead of the group. Starting before everyone even gets there. Not doing the optional portions before completing the quest. We will not be doing any of these. Take it nice and steady and work as a group.

Rule #9: Players found to not follow the rules of the group will be removed.

Zero tolerance policy. I play games to have fun not to be a baby sitter. Either we can all play nice and work together while following the rules or the group can say goodbye to our willful new friend as he or she attempts to test the boundaries.
Examples of not following the rules include but are not limited to:

Playing a DT character outside of the group.
Soloing (save the quests that only are for solo play to get the favor)
Using the auction house to purchase powerful items (twinking.)
Mailing items/equipment from other characters to your DT toon. (also twinking.)

Rule #10: These rules can be altered should the need arise to do so.

If the group needs to change rules we will do so after we discuss the changes.

Rule #11: Have fun PLEASE! , that’s why we pay for DDO!

Rule #12: I will keep better track of whom and who has not showed each week. If you do not show 2 weeks in a row, without a post on forum or a PM to me, your name will go yellow on the 1st post of the thread. If no response by end of week 3 your name will be taken off and a new player will be looked for.

    Count me in!

Just mark my forum name down for now. As more people gather interest, I will create a character and let you know what class I will be playing.

Sounds like a good time to be had all. For anyone that has not participated in static groups, this can recreate the old PnP better than anything else in the game. Complete sharing of needed loot. Characters are optimized to fill their niche in the group. Collectables mean something again as a means of income. Pooling your gold together to purchase that blazing used longsword or for extra wands.

I hope that you are able to find a group TC. Sadly, Sunday nights tend to be a guild raid night for us.

I've never played a warforge but this really sounds like fun and I happen to have Sunday nights free. I think a battle cleric following the Lord of Blades would be a blast to play. BTW, this guy would not just hang back and heal

I do have other characters in Dedicated Teams on Sarlona so I am familiar with the general rules. Now that I think about it; I nearly play my DT characters more than my main these days.

So, count me in too. I'll post a name when I get him built.

I’d be interested, but I already have a group on Sunday nights. Now if it was Sunday afternoon around 1 pm EDT I’d be glade to join a group who servers the Lord of Blades!

    Thumbs up i'm in

I love to play warforged. It started because I can't swim worth a darn, but they have kinda grown on me. I have run a battle tank and a two weapon specialist rogue. I am not sure who the Lord of Blades is, but as long as he is not evil, then I think that I shall go with a Paladin Fighter combo, if it is evil then I will go with another Main Battle Tank. But if there is no sneaky guy, I am more than happy to fill that role too. I like the game, and the roles that I tend to play in it, so I am up for just about anything.

Been there, done that, actually doing it now. Group has made it to 2 x 13, 2x 12, 1 x 11.

Word of caution - need a wizard for a healer. The cleric will not be able to keep up; and a sorceror will be wasting a lot of spell slots on healing.

A cleric would be nice and an adamantine cleric becomes a very good battle cleric.

I play a bard, it is hard because you are always behind the curve; I am HRXbow and apply good support. Would not recommend playing a bard/sorc combo - it is good in the early levels, but by level 6-8 your heals just do not do that much.

A caster bard can be Mithral; but not adamantine - the spell failure will kill you. A caster wizard should probably stay plain; you would want every shot to actually go off.

Our wizard has a LRXbow; but at level 12 does not seem to use it much anymore.

Not having to worry about cloudkill, poison, etc is a real benefit.

But enjoy; it makes a very interesting experience and the dedicated group is what keeps me coming back to DDO.

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Lord of Blades is a fictional character in the fantasy setting of Eberron for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

The Warforged visionary known as The Lord of Blades has begun establishing a Warforged nation somewhere in the Mournland, it is rumoured. No one is sure where he came from, or where the Warforged-Mecca is. Some tales tell that he was a powerful warrior leading his construct companions into battle for Cyre, before the day of Mourning. Others maintain that he was the last Warforged to come out of the Creation Forges before they were destroyed, as per the orders of the Thronehold Accord. Yet another fearsome spin is that perhaps he was the one who caused the day of mourning, in order to have a clean slate to start his own nation; and maybe he plans to repeat the experience with all of Eberron.

The Lord of Blades (LE Male Personality Warforged, Fighter2/Artificer5/Warforged Juggernaut 5) has become a messiah for a noticeable amount of his fellow Warforged, but the remainder consider him an abomination and a threat to their race.

    Cool ok

i will get 2 characters ready this weekend. I will do a rogue and a fighter, I can run with either one, I am all about being a team player. I do see one flaw in your 09/02/07 start though, it is Labor Day weekend and the question arises if we will all be around. I will repost with character names later when they have been started. We are to do all the solo only quests correct?

If you still have room I would like to join you.
Action boosts would be fine if they topped out at +5 at 20th lvl.

    Talking the more the better

Celebrochan of course we still have room. What class are you thinking about running? We have a Wizard, Ranger and Cleric. I am leaning towards a Fighter or Barbarian, but could do a rogue too.

    Thanks all!
you guys are makin me feel all warm and fuzzy with all the quick responses and interests in the group.

That said, Thor6478 has brought up a good point.... I picked Sept 2nd as the start date, not realizing that it is Labor Day Weekend..doh! just want to take a count of all the interested parties so far, that the "Start Date" works for everyone. If not we can always move back a week.

    Cool toons

Ok I have two toons to choose from, depending on what the party needs. My first choice is Grrroar Whizbang a WF Barbarian, and the second one is a WF (duh???) Rogue named Clanking Quietly.

    Wink start date

to be honest I was planning on being out of town until Monday the 3rd, but if everyone else is a go, I will be back by 8 pm on the 2nd. Is it a bad thing that I am willing to shorten my time with my family to play DDO?

    Talking Like Minded WF?

Congratulations to the start of a wonderful new WF team!

Well, well, I don't think I have seen a team fill quite this fast before. Perhaps all you guildies will let some newcomers aboard?
Tcmexman would you consider an expansion to two teams if you fill the last spot and then still have additional interest?
