EDIT: Initially I was pretty sure I wanted to go at least 18 ranger to get slaying arrows at 18, since I plan to TR this guy as soon as I hit 20. I then realized that no matter the splash, I won't get slaying arrows until level 20 (when I finally take 18 ranger), so it doesn't matter in the slightest. Also, since rangers get evasion at level 9, as Sogrin pointed out, I can use arti for rogue skills if I want. Either way, it really opens up the build. I'm not really interested in any of the Uzi or Monkcher builds, but while ranger just lends itself naturally to AA, bard might also be a good fit.
I'm planning to run through a quick ranger (or bard, or druid) life soon, and I'd love some unique ideas for a build.
- Arcane Archer with slaying arrows (preferably, but not necessarily, ranger)
- Full trap skills and evasion (probably 2 rogue)
- TWF w/rapiers for melee
- Excellent AC
I've got full +3 tomes (+4 Wis), Rog/Pal/Brb/Wiz/Mnk/Sor/Ftr/Art past lives, and lots of handwraps, rapiers, staves, greataxes.
It seems like a pretty straightforward 18 ranger/2 rogue build would fit the bill, but I'm curious to see what others come up with.
