    Default Displacer Paly

Now I have been playing around with this biuld in the Char Generator for a little while and have actually built it. (he is now LVL 4). I think that this is a very well done build myself, one of my better.

    Here it is.

Enhancement: Paladin Extra Lay on Hannds II

    Level 14 (Fighter)
    Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Great Cleave
    Enhancement: Extra Dragonmark IV

Now I choose Elf for the Long Sword affinity and the second dragon mark witch give Displacement. I tool Paly for the Saves, the healing, and the Sovern Host. It also allows you to pick up extend witch I belive does effect Dragon Marks.

When all is said and done at lvl 14 it is possible to have a +31 to hit.
    14 Bab
    +1 Weapon Spec Slashing
    +1 Sovern Host
    +2 Elf Affinity
    +8 26 ST
    +5 Longsword
    = 31 Pretty damn good.

He has 240 Hit Points. Not the Greatest but that is what the Displacment covers.

With out any ubur items he will have an ac of 38, not to impressive but easily improvible with some better items, but then agine the AC only needs to stop what gets past the Displacment. I would also recomedend addy full plate or Plate Mail of the Gaints or somthing of that kind to reduce damage even more.
    10 base
    +2 Bulwick of good
    +13 from +5 full plate
    +1 Dex
    +8 from +5 large shield
    +4 protection Item
The 4 lvls of fighter at the end are for the extra feats without sacrificing any of the Paly abilities and just make him that much better. I picked up the Cleave series cause i love causeing damage to everything around me.

Let me hear what you all have to say.

Well, I know it's too late since you're fourth, but here are my comments assuming you hadn't rolled, hehe:

Why not share some of that good defense? Take Fighter at 1st to raise the Intimidate cap and continue raising it as you level. Take Weapon Focus sooner so you can take Improved Critical at the earliest opportunity. I'd say something like this:

1 Fighter: Weapon Focus (Slashing), Toughness

    2 Paladin

    3 Paladin: Least Dragonmark

    4 Paladin

    5 Paladin

    6 Paladin: Lesser Dragonmark

    7 Paladin:

    8 Fighter: Improved Critical (Slashing)

    9 Paladin: Extend Spell

Gonna stop there since I'm not a fan of Power Attack (especially on one-handed weapons), and have no experience with Cleave or Great Cleave. My 14th level Paladin started with a 16 Charisma, and I feel that was a little too high...16 + 3 Enh + 6 Item + 2 Tome (eventually) = 27 Cha...mine is actually at 26...kind of excessive. I'd probably recommend something like:

    Str 18 (+3 levels, +6 item, +2 favor tome = 29, good stuff, 30 when you hit 16 or +3 tome [snicker])
Dex 10 (Elf Enh + Items will max out your armor)
Con 12 (your weak spot, focus on items for this)
    Int 10 (meh)
    Wis 10 (more than enough)
    Cha 14 (+3 Enh, +6 Item, +1 tome = 24, plenty good)

I'd also be fine stopping at Fighter 2. Having to take two more levels of Fighter for one more Feat just isn't that compelling to me.

coming soon to a bridge near you

Here's a couple of my observations of this build ..

If you're not taking 4 fighter for Weapon Spec, then I would recommend dropping to fighter3 (still gives you access to FAM I) and bumping Paladin to 11, which gives you 30-pt resists, and Bulwark/Resistance III.

The feat to drop by making that change would be Great Cleave.

For stats, I would have gone:
    Str: 18 +2 favor tome +3 levels +1 enhancement +6 item = 30
Dex: 10 +4 item = 14 (max dex of full plate with FAM I@ftr3)
Con 12 +1 tome +5 item = 18 (294hp with greater false life, toughness and PAL toughness III)
    Int 10
    Wis 10 +1 tome +5 item = 16 (278sp with a power X item)
    Cha 15 +1 tome +5 item +3 enhancement = 24 (147pt loh @pal11)

+1 tomes seem to drop like candy these days, so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting a couple as you level the guy up, so why not plan for them? Also, at the end-game of 20, we'll have +5 tomes and +6 items, so there's no reason not to plan for for important stats based on an odd tome and even item (for example, planning that way, you would have a 36 str at lvl20 with a +5 tome, +6 item, +2 ftr str (final split ftr6/pal14 - str2 and 4th lvl pal spells) and 5 from levels).
