Default Halfy Dragonmarks are awesome, post your build

I have it on my 11fighter/3pal, so I still have plenty of leftover feats for weapon spec/ grtr weapon focus chain, dodge, khopesh, powatk and one toughness (just to access toughness enhancements)and I love it.
5 full heals at 196 each with the blue dragonplate on and the pally positive heal enhancement for 1 point. CSW are 40-50's, CLW 10-20. Independent timer of my 2 65 pt Lay on hands. A perfect compliment for the halfy AC/Saves survival tank build....not that I've even been using my original build, with the current game its easier to tear through everything with a 2h and power attack.

Currently Ive got 54AC with tower shield no stance/buffs, 28 STR, 306 HP, great saves from divine grace/pally aura, the only thing I wish I had done differently was take 12 ftr/2 pal so I could access grtr weapon spec, but it can wait for lvl cap I guess.

Anyone else using the halfy dragonmarks? Anyone got any sick build ideas to have with these? Im thinking about a TWF now.

I am working on something very similar, but with evasion, UMD, etc. So, right now, I'm looking at F12 Rge2 but may change as I think I may want to fit Pally in for slightly better saves.

My only problem thus far has been how to get my Intimidate up as 3 of your 5 regular feats are used for DMs and you need 1 for toughness. So, my last feat would either be Bullheaded or SF: Intimidate. Ultimately, sounds like we're going to be pretty close.

I have a 12/2 barb/fighter with max intimidate ranks. With a GH buff and wearing a +10 intimidate item, I almost NEVER fail an intimidate, even on elite level 14 quests (note: my cha is 6). Burning a feat on this skill would be completely unnecessary, in my experience. Especially when you consider that there are +15 intimidate items available, and I'm only using a +10 for end-game content.

Yeah with that build you wouldn't be sacrificing much for the plus to saves, basically one feat and access to some fighter enhacements, and it's an integral part of your build. With a starting CHA of 12 (I prefer 10 though) you can hit 20 (+6 item, Pally CHA enhance 1, +1 tome) for a +5 to saves, the +3 enhancement for halfy, the +1 pally aura, the +1 racial, and you've got a huge headstart over other races. Remember you will be in light armor as well if you really want the evasion, and I dont think fighter saves alone are high enough at high levels for evasion to save you.
I wouldnt worry about intimidate I put some ranks into it (wish I hadnt bothered) but anyway it's been a situational thing...nice but I rarely think to use it asI pull aggro faster by zerging in with a 2 hander and powatk.

Just for fun I'm trying them out on my Pal14. I don't have a devotion item yet (I don't play him often), but with 2 levels of the Life enhancement they are in the 160s. 4 lay on hands for 200+, and 5 heals for 160+, and all those CSW and CLW are kinda fun. I do have enough shards saved up to bail on them though if I get tired of them. :P

I tore up Wiz King undead end bosses before they knew what hit them :P

Yeah man, take your devotion pally enhancements to up the heal power. I love how the LOH and Heals timers are separate you can really rattle off some positive damage. Yeah its kind of pricey 3 feats of a pallys 5, maybe not so bad depending on your play style though

Seriously bro? My Delani build has maxed intim, uses GH, but my item is only +5 ( I use a resistance 4 cloak, but the helm is Wis +4/intim +5, and together they really help with will saves ). So with GH, my intim is 26, and I can only get it to hit about less than half of the time in GH because of the negs I get for being a halfling vs most of the mobs there ( -4 for human-sized, -8 for large, and -12 for giant ). Will an extra +5 really make that much difference?

In your case, maybe not... that's a pretty nasty size penalty. As with all skills, there is a threshold to cross, and once you do, you simply do not fail. For intimidate, that seems to be around 29 on a dwarf.

Note that I'm not claiming I land every intim on every mob, but it's a solid 95% or more.

My dorf barb has max ranks, -2 CHA "bonus", +4 from GH, +10 item. That's 29, I think.

My Halfling Paladin ends up with about a 39 Intimidate as well (17 Ranks, +7 Charisma, +4 Greater Heroism, +11 Item) which gets reduced depending on the size, but I rarely fail on Intimidate checks. I'd say somewhere around a 30 (after modifiers)means that you Intimidate most of the time.

got my halfling ranger build. Up to greater mark, with empowered healing, improved crit:ranged, precision, all the ranger given feats, and 34 dex with the +6 dex boots I already have (36 dex with a +3 tome).
This character will be mostly ranged, but can play healer for a little bit if needed.

I like it Oberon, I wouldnt worry about empower healing or maximize feat, you can throw on a super potency item and get a nice bonus just as fast as activating the metamagic...maybe consider weapon finesse your melee to hit will skyrocket.

meh, I decided to swap out precision for finesse and crit:ranged for crituncturing and turn this into a 2wf build, since I already have my ranged fighter. See you on Ghall Twerrp

2 Quests since I don't know anyone personally who has a halfling Mark of Healing Build....

    1. Can Marks be used in Anti-Magic aka in presence of Beholders?
    2. Can Mark be interupted or u need to make a concentration check?

    Current Build I'm working on

Fighter Levels for Feats, Armor Mastery, and Strength Enhancement
Pally for LOH, Saves, and Access to Empowered Healing
    Rogue for Skills and Evasion

Alot of This Build is for Long Term Planning... Assuming to get +3 tomes from Reaver and Mod 5 Raid +6 stat Items for all stats etc...

My Philosophy is build for the future vs. what u have on hand

    Weapons:
People Might notice I'm Pierce Speced in this Build as I'm going to be using Wounding and Puncturing Rapier as Primary Weapon... Treason on Bosses, but since this is a strength based build spec of whatever weapon type your looking to use.

Also I plan to take the Halfling Luck + Will Save Line when Enhancement Changes go in...

    Stats with Equipment:

Str 30 (32 @ lvl 16 with Fit Str III and 1 from Levels)
    Dex 28
    Con 20
    Int 13
    Wis 16
    Cha 22

AC Break Down: Once Again Best This Build can Get...
    (Self Buffed)
    10 Base
    10 Armor (Kunark Derving Suit)
    8 Dex (6 + 2 Armor Mastery)
    1 Size
6 Dodge (Feat, Chaosguards, Chattering Ring)
    7 Shield (+5 Mithril HSS)
    2 Aura
    3 Bark Potion
5 Deflection (Lots of Items Out There or When Clerics come lvl 15)
    5 Combat Expertise
    1 Haste

    58 Total (Self Buffed)

    +2 Full Bark
    +2 Full Pally
    +2 Recitation

64 Total (Best of the Best Buffed)

Once He gets to 11th Fighter (long way away ^^ +1 Armor Mastery III)
He'll Also get Uncanny Dodge @ Level 4 Rogue for short term AC boost
    @ Level 20 He should be 12 Fighter / 4 Paladin / 4 Rogue

    Hey Sadus
    1. Can Marks be used in Anti-Magic aka in presence of Beholders?
    2. Can Mark be interupted or u need to make a concentration check?

1.Ive never healed around beholders like in the beholder/flayer room, typically you are alive or dead not much in between and needing to replace hp when fighting these guys..but I would bet you can use them just fine.

    2. I have never been interrupted unless it was by lag issues in which case I didnt get charged for the heal. The casting is instant on all of the marks with a longer cooldown for heal.

Good luck with your build I have played around with similar ideas a lot...Dont see the need for 4 pally, 3 gets you fearless/disease free is nice and the bulwarkin/save aura up to +2 (I hate that they nerfed this down from +2 to start!) and the 4th of rogue is eh, well the uncanny dodge is negligible remember you can use fighters AC boost or just stick with your already incredible AC...the extra skill points will be nice for UMD/Balance/Intimidate, so there is a trade off there calculate the end BAB and enhancements available and consider that...also there is no need to rely on Wounding of pucturing or treason dont assume you will be just a 2nd hitter this build has potential to be 1st hitter if you go slashing damage.

All in all no doubt this guy will be the last man standing using res rings or even popping raise dead scrolls on many a day. Great build.

Also which is better for your dragonmark heals empower healing or maximize? I believe they both work but dont have a feat to buy one I just use super-pot 6 item.

You need the 4th level of pally to get access to Empowered Healing Since one requirement is that you have to be able to cast spells.

If u don't mind and your toons are capped maybe you could just run into invaders to the first group of beholders and see if you can pop off a Dragon Mark Would be a simple way to find out and would help me out quite a bit in my grand vision of the build

Main reason I'm going to be using W/P is just because I don't have a toon that does... I've already got 3 very well equipped melee toons... that use slash weapons... so I wanted to do something different.. if you've never had a w/p rapier you might change your opinion A lot of mobs can be killed in a tenth the time with w/p than raw DPS so add some good strength , bloodstone, etc... and then they really go down fast

Yeah it works with beholders I tested it, I also noticed a dev saying it will work with the Quell effect in the new mod that nerfs other magic. I'll give W of P a try just as soon as I get a good deal on one.
I have 3 of pally and I take an enhancement that gives +10% on healing I believe its called Paladin Devotion, also I have a super dev 7 bow, with all that the heals dont really need a feat..It does 224 I think and I only have 311 hp, no greater false life item on. With the halfling saves coming back your saves are gonna be through the roof too.

im making a halfling AC/saves/healing/evasion/UMD/rogueing build lol

    Figuring AC in the 50s

    10 base
    10 armor
    7 dex
    7 shield
    5 protection
    1 size
    2 pally
    3 barkskin
    2 choasguard
    ___________
47 with basic items, 50 with titan ring, 55 with CE up

    UMD mid 30s

    17 ranks
    5 cha
    3 item
    4 GH
    3 feat
    _______
    32, could hit 37 probably

2 LoH, the full complement of dragonmarks, and UMD means great healing capability.

    I like it.

    Alreck Gingerbarrel(15clr/1barb), Torrak Gingerbarrel(16 Brd), Oat(13 Rgr/3Ftr), Moxxy(16 Sor), Thorrac Gingerbarrel(6 Pal/1 Ftr) <<Current Toons>>
