Let me start off by saying the LFM/LFG options work fine for me. I also believe in working as a group, instead of creating the “perfect” group. But… I had some suggestions.
LFG – Specifying your characters
It would be nice to have sub-categories for classes. For example:
Melee, Necromancer, Crowd Control, Ranged… These would be checkboxes that can be toggled and saved in your LFG option. One can select multiple options.
LFM – Specifying what one is looking for
You can have the same class options (Fighter, Cleric…), but can also select a specific sub-category: Melee, Necromancer, Crowd Control, Ranged…
The LFM would show all possible class and sub-class options. You can select “Fighter” and the fighter symbol shows up, but one can select “Melee” and a generic “Melee” symbol will show up or a specific class with a little sword icon will show up. For example, a cleric with a little sword on a lower right window and a wizard with a little sword in a lower right window will show up, etc.
If your character selected sub-categories and an LFM matches your character, that LFM will be highlighted. It is the same as an LFM for a Fighter level 12-14. If your character matches the criteria the LFM will be highlighted.
The big problem, I see with this, is there may be too many options or too many icons. People may also want very, very specific sub-categories. I like these as default sub-categories:
Melee, Damage, Necromancer, Crowd Control, Ranged, Healer, Locks, Traps
Feedback would be appreciated.
