    Ring of scolastic study:+4 insight bonus on all skills(stacking with other items that give skill bonuses)

    Rod of beguiling:50 charges of mass suggestion,greater enchantment focus(until item is out of charges of course)

    The black dragon:+4 bastard sword,upon a sucessful attack target is affected by a dispel magic at the level of ability of its weilder.

    Spell fury:+4 bastard sword,+4 to ac while held(as deflection bonus)+4 resistance to saving throws,functions as a ring of spell turning while held.

    flash mantlecloak) blindness ward,when wearer is struck 20% chance of emitting blinding flash,true seeing 1/rest.

    hour glasses:regenerates 5 spell points per minute(always acitve)

    talon of final word:kills 1 target(automatic death regardless of red named exe,no save)single use item.

    shield of retribution:each time the weilder is struck by a melee(hand held weapon)attack the attacker must make a fortitude save DC:23 or suffer 2d6 damage.

    hat of disguise:enemies must make a will save DC:17 or ignore the wearer believing him or her to be one of them,attacking the mob negates this effect.

    Or something along the lines of being able to equip spikes on your shield, it'd do the same thing.

    Bob the Greatsword.


    No, really - intelligent weapons that have one or more x/day abilities, but you can't activate them - the weapon activates them using its own AI, much like a summoned creature.

    "You benefit from Bob the Greatsword's Rage spell."
    "Bob the Greatsword heals you for 20 points of damage."
    "You benefit from Bob the Greatsword's Detect Secret Doors."
    "Bob the Greatsword casts Lightning Bolt."

    "Who the heck pulled all those mobs on us?"
    "It wasn't me, it was my greatsword, Bob!"
    This could actually work. I played a different game with something like this.
    There were rare 'intelligent' item's that dropped from raids, that would level with the player, gaining a fraction of the xp the player received. Various levels to completion. I saw some max out at lvl 3, others at lvl 9. But each 1 would get more powerful per lvl.

    Ring of swiftness, 30 minute haste clicky
    Take this for example...
    lvl 1...1 min haste clicky
    lvl 2....3min haste clicky x2
    lvl 3....5min haste clicky x3
    etc, etc.....however far up its deemed.
    Just a thought.

    This sounds like an awesome named item. Not sure it's raid loot quality...maybe call it "boots of stone" and have a CL14 Stoneskin clicky x3. Or permanent DR 5/-. That would bring it up to that level.

    Bow of Sorcery-+5 Longbow(19-20 Base Critical), Force Burst(1d6 per hit, 2d10 on criticals), 20% Chance to Cast Force Missles(CL 20) On Critical Hit. 5% Chance to Cast Magic Missle(CL 9) On any Hit.

    Medallion of Hope-Disease Immunity, Proof Against Poison, Greater Devotion 7, Good Hope 1/day(CL 7)

    Icon of Insanity-+5 damage per hit(circumstance), -6 Strength, +2 Dexterity.
