    Default Weekend Only Accounts

How about $5/month, only active from 5pm Friday EST to 6 am Monday PST, or something like that?

if we had higher populations on the servers and DDO was having log in queues and all, I could get behind this. But since most of the servers look like Jonestown, the day after, I have to respectfully disagree with this idea.

Trust me, at this point it doesnt seem like Turbine can take too much of an income hit as is if you judge ny the Anemic 4.2
    Clerics of Fernia
    King of Stormreach
(and if you disagree with me, then you can treat me like a Nintendo Cartridge )

Not to mention the weekends are the "Premium" time. That is when most people are playing. If they were to discount anything it would be weekdays. Which they are not going to do anyway.

what I would prefer to see in alot of MMO's would be like say....

$20 per 30 days...... when you log in you use one day of your time, would be noon to noon for when the time was used.....

I log in to play on Friday night after work, one day is deducted from my account. I play the whole weekend, Fri, Sat & Sun..... that cost me 3 days of subscription time. If I were one of these people that play only on weekends I could concievably play for 10 weeks on one $20 fee.

I know of a few games that I like to play every once in a while for like a day or less that I have played in the past. Perhaps there would be a time limit on your time, like for example if you don't log in within 60 days you forfiet your remaining time.

This will Never happen in any MMO.... Ever...... Not if they want to make money.

It just doesnt make financial sense..... THis is a subscription based profit center. allowing variable subscriptions would take significant amounts of develoement and maintinance time (I logged in a 11:59 instead of 12:00 and got charged 2 DAYS! ZOMG!!!)

$15 a Month isnt al that much.... Even if you play just 10 Hours a Month, thats $1.50 and Hour to be entertained.... What else can you do for $1.50 and hour in this world?

If the Monthly fee really bugs ya, Look into a Game like Guild Wars.

hehe I agree with you, I doubt it will ever happen.......

Perhaps they can mabey give weekend passes

Weekend Pass - $3 and play for 4 days

But that type of deal would also stop the people who pay $15 just to check out the game for a weekend to see what kind of new content has been added.

I just pay my months ahead of time and play whenever I want, usually 5-7 days a week. Going to see Transformers tonight and I am pretty sure I will be paying more than $15 for just a little over 2 hours of entertainment.

But years ago I committed myself to just accept $30 per month for online gaming, and have atleast two different MMO's that I can play.

At this time I forsee me increasing that to $45 when Star Trek Online and Stargate Worlds comes out near the end of 2008.
