I'm playing Warforged for racials atm, and their racial tree is really surprisingly solid. There's no real need to change things there at all.

Since this is a new character, I would recommend grabbing skill tomes from the sagas. Iirc you get +3 skill tomes from the epic sagas, which can be a nice little boost.
