This thread is a guide for what score is necessary to use any given runes, levers or similiar devices throughout the game. I personally do not know all of the locations and difficulties of these devices so your help is gladdly appreciated.

Note: The guide is rather bare at the moment, but once i get some entries it will increase in volume.

Items Listed in Purple are neccessary to complete the quest

Items Listed in Blue are helpful in completion of the quest

Items Listed in Green are either option or detrimental to the quest

I'd suggest categorizing them with regard to quest completion as "required", "highly desired" (makes things much easier), "optional".

The Most Rune in Xorian can be done in 20 or less; however, the last 3 rune need to be 22 or 23.

All rune in Dream of Insanity require 20 or less. (Yeah good sign turbine not force people to mix/max stat just for stupid quest requirement, however, you still been forced to have players with basic wis/int/cha score to complete this quest)

There's a Strength Lever in West Threnal 3 (for gargoyle room) require Strength 16~18 to active it. Might try it sometimes with my strength 8 wizard again (since with Divine Power and Rage, he could make it to 16)

The Int runes in von3 can be used with a 14. (required)

The Butcher's Path has an 18 str level and 18 int rune that lead to a locked chest.

1st: 20
Middle (I believe there are 3-4): 22
Last: 24-25

ok, i've added what i can to the guide but alot more is still needed. some notes include:

1. Colors have been changed to fonts that seem easier to read, and the set up changed for ease of use. If any other suggestions for making it clearer are available, please PM me.

2. I need the number of int, cha, and wis runes in both xorian cipher and dreams of insanity. If you can get a definate number on all their DCs that would be great.

3. Also, i currently have no idea what there is as far as runes and levers in twilight forge are. If someone can give me their DC, number and use(is it required, useful or a trap as the lever in TS?) it would be great.

If I recall, there are five Int runes in Xorian. The first requires 20 (my Rogue simply wears the STK hat and is fine), the middle three require 22 (Fox's Cunning wand/potion and fine), the last requires 24-25 (no way I can hit that without one of the special potions that boost by an extra 2).

There are three Wisdom runes, and two Charisma runes. (This could be switched. I'll run it tonight to double check.)

There are some levers/rune in Tear of Draakan (sp?), strength, wisdom, intelligence to get to the shards (optionals).

My ranger can hit that lever with a 20 str. - not sure if it increases with the difficulty of the dungeon (or is it always the same?).

there are 3 int runes in von III at the beholder area.

btw it would be nice if you could like put a rough location to the rune.

I did Dreams today on Normal.

I had a 16 CHA and 16 WIS and was able to pull all those. Had to bring someone in to do the last 2 INT runes to complete.

It may be misleading to label the Int rune in Tempest as only "helpful", if I'm not mistaken it is required to do Fire&Ice, and without it Sor'jek regens so fast I'm not sure to which extent a level appropriate party can complete the quest.
Really not 100% sure of this though :rolleyes:

I'm looking for the Int / Wis / Str for the Waterworks? I know the Int is at least 14 for the one door. And can we get one comprehesive list plz?

Int/Wis runes in the Subterrane - East, heading to the Hound are 16 I believe. And there are 2 per level (first floor/second floor) - tho they are in random locations, I believe there are always 1 int, 1 wis per level.

Waterworks part 1.. Hmm no runes or str levers I can think of.
Prt2.. Int rune = 13 int for the prisoners.
prt3.. Str levers at start (optional just for more breakables) are 16?
prt4. No runs or levers I can think of.

WW adventure area: Int13 rune, Wis13/14 rune. Nothing needs str.

Sorjek can be killed by using any 1 of the 3 runes. Otherwise he is 100% invulnerable. Even to level16s.

Appropriate level party is something weird to say for this.. As it's written pretty clearly in the DDO manual "raids are the toughest of adventures intended for a full raid party of the highest level adventurers"
Obviously not anymore, but imo it should be.. They need to re-design all the old raids for level20 some day. Or at least do some scaling similar to the devil assaut lvl6/12/18 quest for normal/hard/elite, and make the lvl10 raids level10/15/20 depending on difficulty selected.

I'd make a quick side note that 2 of the streagth levers, and 2 of the wisdom runes have to be activated at the same time in VON 5. (4 active at once)
