View Full Version : Class trainers on the guild ship.

This one is pretty straight forward. My guild has currently the largest air ship in the game. There are also quite a few rooms standing empty simply because there are no more amenities to put on the thing. I would like to see one of the empty state rooms filled with class trainers. The ship is your refuge from the world and includes a lot of guild only perks, this would complete the "one stop shopping" and allow you to do your level up in a place you had to visit anyway to grab the next level gear out of your bank, check AH for new stuff, buy the next level hireling, refresh your buffs, check your mail, maybe craft a new weapon or two, and teleport out to the next place to wreak havoc.

I'd like to see them on the deck.I've long suggested a new state room for trainers, similar to the OP's proposal. Specifically, though I'm not sure if the tech can support this:

Plat for the Training Room I (all class trainers plus a tavern area so you can slot spells while leveling up)
Astrals for Training Room II (same as I, but adds a Fatespinner)

Does the deck act as a tavern area for slotting spells if you have the banquet hall?

No, but neither does any other area with trainers by default. And the deck of the ship is so empty.

Edit: Plus if it was an amenity that cost AS rather than plat, i'd ignore it and just keep jumping to house denith.

A few years back in the IRC chat room there was a group of us that were pushing hard for this. Can't remember the dev, but we were told because of the the type of "environment" ships are made in, they couldnt "easily" do this.

With the amount of trainers already in the game vs cost of rebuilding the entire airship system was the bottom line.

Yes it could be done, but not cost effective.

How cool would it be to have a TR trainers room. So we put this on the "Santa's" list.

Mmm, I guess if it would involve modifying every ship, then an amenity would be better. Just make it plat purchasable, :D
