Looking to do favored soul life - heroic 1-20 (or 2-18 in reality)
36 pb, +5 tomes or higher

I want to melee through. Rough skeleton:
3 monk for melee power and heal amp - heavy armor (unless you vigorously persuade me otherwise)
6 kensai for kensai
FVS for past life

Eberron race - no Silvanus. Probably going to go Aureon, I have two Elemental Blooms ready at level 7. Later planning to use either Riftmaker or Shining Devastation

I was also thinking about trying the Spinal Tap I got from 11th anniversary - unfortunately bastard sword deity is again FR exclusive. Bummer.

So feats, I was going to pick up the usual suspects: Cleaves and THF feats. However, monk and fighter levels grant 6 more bonus feats. Perhaps I should try to fit in Whirlwind Attack? This would require some investment in Dex and Int - stats I originally intended to dump.

Perhaps 16/16/16 str/con/cha, then 12 dex and 10 int (so that I can meet the dex prereqs at level 3 and int prereq at level 11). Or something similar.

I am not much into tactical moves.

Enhancements
30+ in kensai
up to 21-24 stalwart (or less)
6 henshin MP
1 or 6 shintao heal amp
4+ warpriest
3 human heal amp

Race is open. Probably human because I like my heal amp. Other suggestions welcome.

Class progression is a PITA. Probably generally backload fvs levels. Kensai 6 ideally ASAP, definitely at level 12. A single monk level for first cores would also be nice asap.

Feedback welcome

Tentative progression:
F1: PA, Cleave, THF
F2: WF:Blud
F3: Dodge (starting dex 12)
F4: Great Cleave
F5:
F6: ITHF, Mobility
7 fvs
8 fvs
9 fvs IC:Blud (BAB 8)
10 M1: Spring Attack
11 fvs
12 M2: Combat Expertise (starting int 10), Whirlwind Attack
15 GTHF

Don't know if its enough to convince you to run without heavy armor, 8 fvs 6 ftr 6 monk cuz 6 monk gives you 25% incorporeality and some more melee power/feats

Yeah, the recent buffs to monks - combined with the armor nerfs in U28 - makes monk 6 / ftr 6 / <TR class> 8 a pretty good HTR template. Something like 32 Kensei / 11 Henshin / 11 Ninja / 9 Shintao / 8 Harper / 6 SD / 3 human nets you +1 crit range & multiplier, +50 Melee Power (with another +20 while Opportunity Atk is active), +45 PRR (Iron Skin + defensive stance), +40 heal amp, high Dodge, 25% Incorporealty (Shadow Veil), Evasion, Know the Angles, monk stances (either Wind for extra doublestrike, Fire for extra STR & crit bonus, or Ocean for extra Dodge), and monk strikes like Fists of Iron.

The only real downside compared to heavy armor toons IMO is you don't benefit from +20% HPs from Tenacious Defense. But hey, that's not a big deal in heroics, right?
