make it so clicking it on your hot bar equips it.

we have quite a few quiver with effects now ranging from okay to decent to downright fantastic but its a pain to swap between them in combat, sometimes one effect suits your situation better then the other, i have painstakingly sought out all of the quivers i can get (btw i would like to get the Seeker Tap of Spellsight that was only available on European servers, please make it available again.) and i feel like this is kind of a no brainer, i know they act like bags so open when selected on hot bars but this has to be an easy fix right?

Sadly that was done by codemasters who shouldnt have had the right to do that.

On topic though, yes quivers need to be select-able on hotbars...only one question...how do you open them then? since clicking them would equip them how do you go about opening it?

Right click? There's special functionality for spells on right-click.

Hmmm that would certainly work.

Or make right click the equip option? That way only 1 thing to change on the quivers rather than 2.

i supose the other option would be to make a double click in inventory open it since that is rarely needed in combat but clicking on the hotbar equips it, but thats probably more programming then i originally imagined or have opening it operate like a clicky, activating it while equipped opens it, that seems like the best rout to me.

actually yeah i really like that, i mean lets face it, rarely do we ever use these quivers to hold arrows, most of them (dynastic quivers excluded) have way to low a capacity for that and AAs, artis and rouges (umd as a class skill with the scrolls) can conjure their ammo so its pretty rare to need the storage unless you need adamantine bolts or something similar. its not like the enhancement value of the ammo usually matters anyway. in the event that you need the special ammo you know ahead of time and can pull the necessary arrows or bolts out ahead of time so the convenience of opening really is second to swapping in my opinion for this reason i keep all my special ammo, in the rare occasion i even carry it in vanilla effect-less quivers that are never equipped.

Wow!

That's one awesome item!

Might still be a bit much for min lvl 16 but I think the Devs could fit it back in at Min Lvl 20 nowadays.

Maybe add it to Crystal Cove as a Min Lvl 12, 20 and 28 item only with:

Lvl 12 - Lesser Arcane Casting Dexterity, Seeker 6, UMD +3 {Tier 2 Upgrade to Arcane Casting Dexterity}
Lvl 20 - Arcane Casting Dexterity, Seeker 12, UMD +5 {Tier 2 Upgrade to Improved Arcane Casting Dexterity - 15%}
Lvl 28 - Improved Arcane Casting Dexterity, Seeker 16, UMD +7 {Tier 2 Upgrade to Greater Arcane Casting Dexterity - 20%}

not a bad idea but the cc stuff upgrades to be the same as the next lv so the upgraded lv 20 item would have the same stats as the un upgraded 24 item, so having 3 versions spread across 6 lv ranges... idk if i like that.

That was a codemasters only item. The stuff on it isn't bad but this was made like 8ish years ago. I also believe when the EU moved to here all those were lost. ( I havent found one yet with any of the EU players I know )

The exact same way equipment with clickies work now. First click equips it. Second click activates.

Anything worth saying once, is worth saying twice. And in my defense, it was SIX posts down, and there were no LOLCat pictures. Who has that kind of attention span any more?

Doing it that way would have issues as well. In order to open a quiver, it would have to be equipped. So maybe Click once to equip, twice to open on the hotbar and use the right click for opening it from inventory. There would also be an issue if they ever made a quiver with a clicky. You may have said that as well. If so, then /agree.

Other ideas about ammo....

Arrows should stack to 1000 like thieves tools and spell components, not potions. For that matter so should non returning throwing knives/hammers/axes/darts.

Quivers should stack more as well. Even with returning arrows/bolts, in the land of everlasting mob boss hit points I am carrying three different types of bolts stacked to 1500 to get though quest chains. It's diculous.

all good points, as for the attention span I know a guy who can get you Adderall, well i don't know him personally but the call him your doctor, since I got on it, my trips to the store are allot faster since I don't stop and look at every squirrel and shiny object on the way, changed my life :D but I keed myself I was never that bad.we did talk about the right clicking thing, though, I don't like it but as long as I can left click on hot bar to equip I will shut up and deal with a face like this one >>> :o <<<

How about:

- Clicking once equips, twice opens (clicking an equipped quiver opens it), AND:
- Right-clicking an equipped quiver on your hotbar opens a metamagic-like list of the ammo types inside, where you can click the ammo you want to switch to.

Do this and you can keep the inventory stack size super low like it is now, to encourage quiver use.
