Scale it back to 5% and boost for bonus weekends if you must, but I feel this is a feature that should stay.

It won't fix players rushing through dungeons and some people feeling left behind, but at least it should encourage groups to get posted more often now that deaths don't give everyone -10% xp.

I don't know that it'll have the same effect as during the bonus weekend, but it might.

if it were to be permanent, than I would have to suggest to reinstate Flawless Bonus back to the way it used to be at the very least. with so much xp in this game, something should give to balance it out.

I don't feel like it's that big of an issue.
It would smooth out some of the problem areas and make the less crowded areas more enjoyable. If you don't *need* to run every quest at each quest level, then you can choose the ones you want and skip the ones you don't want. Less repetition, less grind, more fun... sounds like a good thing to me.

I don't feel it needs to.
So many times I log on and post a group as there isn't anything for my character. Too often, I end up running the quests solo with the LFM up the whole time. It could be an incentive not just for people to post LFMs, but to join them as well.

you don't have to repeat any quests. I have one and done on elite to 20 every heroic life ive done for like 5 years and ive one and done from 20-28 several times on hard since MOTU. this last heroic life I skipped over 40 quests in heroics up to level 15 and still had a bunch of 16-20 quests I never touched before capping. in epics I never counted how many quests I didn't touch, but the last time I one and done I remember not touching at least a dozen. the grind and repetition of quests is on the player when there is more than enough xp in the game.

Correct. Except about the part where there is plenty of XP in the game, or where it needs be be balanced out. Those parts are wrong.

No I am not wrong.

I never said anything about repeating...
Look further and don't think about your own experiences as much though, think about the people that can't solo through levels. These are the more casual players that might not be able to run a bravery streak up to 20 without repeating a quest. These are the players that would benefit from a grouping bonus to help them get content done that they can't otherwise... with an incentive to group and help them, it might actually happen more often and create a better community.
Also don't forget those quests where you need an extra body to finish... this just helps it get done.

if there were problem areas than it could be assumed you would repeat content. the only heroic problem area I saw until possibly recently was starting at level 15 as an Iconic. doing one and done level 13 quests you could either do lower level quests for over level xp, start the level 14 quest or repeat quests. now with Amrath level 13 quests, you shouldn't need to. there are no problem areas in epics considering you don't have to worry about over level or under level. you just might not get BB.

even if you only run hard or normal, a 3+ life character can still one and done. this will greatly depend on your xp boosts like VOM, tome of learning, xp pots, Monster Manual xp, sagas, how much content you own, hard BB and also how you get xp from quests. I always play max xp in each and every quest I can in heroics no matter how good or bad the base xp is. YMMV.

I always say to play the difficulty that best suits your play style, but I would think players would strive to do better and want to eventually work their way up to elite. unfortunately, heroics are considered nothing more than leveling quests and the nature of the game is elite and fast pace. unless these casual players are into that play style, they would be better off finding like minded players. the grouping bonus only attracts players that are looking to gain more xp and this last one enticed enough players to group up. all it did was increase the zerg and make the xp/min better, but I would think these casual players would not enjoy this kind of atmosphere.

don't get me wrong, I am all for looking for ways to encourage more grouping but this isn't the way to go about it. increasing the challenge is the right way.

I don't feel it "needs" to, either, I'm just pointing out that if the rationale is that "group xp bonus will fix lack of groups!" then it might not work out that way. It might encourage people to group more, sure, but once the shine wears off it might not make much difference, either.

One thing that I didn't do over the weekend that I'm curious about is raids. Because a grouping bonus that scales to raids, not just quests, may encourage people to run raids just for the heck of it. 110% xp ain't no joke. Especially (gah) in something like Vault of Night. Which might be a method to think about for Bringing Raids Back.

I really like this idea to encourage grouping. Perhaps 5% starting at the fourth party member, and an additional 3-5% for the 5th and 6th?

Or even 5% for 4th party member, and some type of unique buff for a full group? A loot bonus... or stacking damage bonus?

The only reason I'm sticking on the 4th party member is because (if I heard correctly) dungeons stop scaling after the 4th person.

Yes to this! Sometimes it's easier to just grab 6 and go, but it would be cool if there were more incentive to wait for a full group. I mean, with how self-healing has changed, nobody's waiting for a Cleric anymore. And until there's a server merge, we've been shortmanning a lot in guild.

I'd even take a 5%, and guaranteed drop of 1 named item for a 12 man group. Or better chance at tomes?

Was hoping grouping weekends would happen fairly often, but since so far it is not, signed.
