Normally it would be some kind of control or shift + one of the mouse buttons, but those don't seem to do the trick here.

In keymapping there is are various "orbit" keys. if it's not assigned, assign it. I have "select next target/orbit" assigned to "." So hold "." and rotate your camera. The camera axis is now your toon.

Use the Num-Block on your keyboard.

4 rotates to the left.
6 rotates to the right.
7 zooms in.
9 zooms out.
8 rotates up.
2 rotates down.
0 resets camera to standard.

Alternatively you can also use your mousewheel for all that if I recall correctly.
Clicking and holding the mouse wheel button + moving your mouse should rotate the camera, while scrolling the wheel should do the zoom.
I put different keybindings on my mousewheel, so not sure if that's still the case.

If you have mouselook enabled:

press T and then the mousewheel to rotate around you.

sit and spin. no really. you can /sit, hold right mouse click button and turn for a frontal view. holding it down you can zoom in with mouse wheel and angle up or down. letting go of the button brings the camera back to the original view.
