Hello, I've been on and off of DDO ever since beta yet I haven't played a sorcerer yet so I wanted to try it out but I need a build which is good enough to help me go where I want and need to go to.
I'm not very good at making builds but here is what I came up with, any suggestions and help is much appreciated.
I am not very much wanting to buy a lot of tomes, max amount around 2 or 3
No negative feedback please, just want a build that I can use and have fun with

Toughness at level 1 gives you 3 extra hit points and no longer unlocks anything.

Nearly all of your direct damage spells don't have spell resistance so don't need spell penetration

You've chosen a few high level necromancy spells but don't have necromancy focus

You've chose Heroism at level 11 and greater heroism at level 13, that would be a good time to swap out heroism for displacement

You've chosen a lot of buffs, perhaps remove toughness at level 1 and move empower there, put extend where empower is at level 3 and then when extend isn't helping you as much because duration is based on level, swap it at Fred for Toughness if you still feel you need it.

Really you seem to have chosen Air and Water (cold and electricity) + necromancy + enchantment + a little bit of fire and sonic. Seems you want to be a generalist, your mileage may vary, but I've found sorcerors run better if they become great at only a couple of things rather than good at many, even if that is a little boring.

Enlarge can also be a fun feat and remember you can still choose heroic feats at epic if you want to mix it up a bit.

Oh and put at least one skill point into perform if you want to cast sonic spells :)


Frankly it's hard not to go well in Heroic levels as a sorceror, have fun and blast away!

I'd recommend to take Maximize and Empower immediately. Remember that metamagic feats can be applied to your SLAs for free. At level three, you should have two SLA (full meta) doing most the killing (requires 8 AP).

Thank you for all the feedback, I actually had a guildie who was kind enough to help me out on a build so I think I'm gonna be good.
Was gonna delete the post however wasn't to sure how to do so.
