Please consider creating a new Feat that adds Action Points to the character. It should be a general feat that can be taken multiple times. The number of Action Points granted should be small, so as to not overshadow some of the low-power feats. Something like perhaps 2 or 3 Action Points.

Out of all the "More APs, Please" Threads I've seen, this one seems the most reasonable. Want more? Sacrifice something. I haven't really thought through the implications of this to know if it's a wise idea, but it sounds like something worth thinkin about at least.

Agree - there should always be pain with the gain, and this idea isn't half bad.

Unless safeguards were put into place and capstones acted like Tier 5 abilities, just 1 more AP would allow someone to have two capstones. That's powerful stuff--more powerful than just about any other feat at heroic levels.

I'm not saying this to poo-poo on your idea. I'd love more AP. Just looking for the reasons they'd say no.

The other problem might be with fighters. They get a lot of feats. It shouldn't be eligible to be a fighter's bonus feats, but that could still give a specialist fighter a ton of extra APs to spend.

I think the best way to simulate more AP without really giving more AP and to eliminate the possibility of two capstones is to create a feat that makes all AP purchases by the character with the feat to be 1. That means all the two point abilities would be 1 or (1 per tier.) Feat swapping this out would result in all AP being refunded... as would taking this feat in the first place.
