Forgot the skill points : UMD Heal Balance jump

The idea is a DPS fighter with mauls. Ed is LD, heal with cocoon/ tiver 4 PDK and scrolls.

why would you bother to have 16 charisma. if you put those points into int you can get kta from the harper tree.

keen edge is a competence bonus, and so is pulverizer, so they wont stack. no reason to use mauls. instead of speccing for throwing i would spec for manyshotif that is how you want to use those feats, but with u25 around the corner and the changes to weapon focus/spec feats id just take more of those for additional mp.

Hi, thx for the reply.

16 Charisma is for Force of personality (more will saves). I want mauls because i am tired of axes, and i would like a x 3 weapon.

A few things:

1) What do you use Contemplation for? Primarily the saving throw bonus?

2) What ED do you plan to stay in?

3) What ED abilities are you using your Twists on?

4) Did you address the anti-stacking of Keen Edge with Pulverizer or do they stack?

I did my lvl 28 pure fighter human very similar he is first life and will remain there (I don't reincarnate much) At lvl21 when the harper tree came out I used the lesser heart and respeced to sword and board and took out most of the kensai enhancements and went vanguard tree. Dropped the higher starting cha down to 8 and boosted int. replaced force of personality with insightfull reflexes. Got know the angles and slotted a Int diamond and a power topaz. His damage output actually seemed to increase! The prr and mrr were both significantly higher and I had lots of knockdowns and stuns going off automatically.

So I am not saying I did everything correctly but the playability and surviveability difference was sure noticeable. especially after the primal destinies opened up and I could twist in healing spring and fast healing.

Hi, i was going to TR in this build, but since i had no response on this thread, i decided to TR in a monk. maybe i will try this in the next life. I will respond to questions:

1) the weakest thing in fighter are saves, reflex saves don't matter a lot with heavy armor, só i tried to max will saves (contemplation, boosts, force of personality).

2) Destiny should be LD or Divine crusader if more healing needed.

3) Twist cocoon, fast healing, and Grim Precision.

4) i did not know that when planned the build, maybe i can chenge weapon then.

The way a fighter addresses Will save is, FOM (boots either the VON once or the 3BC once), Deathward Potions (Stock up on the Cleric Commendations in Kings Forest), and Scrolls/Potions of Protection from evil. That covers 90% of what attacks your will.

If you want a DPS Fighter you need to move stat points from Cha into Int and drop all the points you have in PDK down to 3 and move them over into Harper for Melee Power and Know the Angles.

pretty much exactly this.

i would recommend just going to tangleroot and running through the chain quickly a couple times to get the dw clicky goggles. 3 of those will last you through most situations and arent random to hunt down and acquire and stock up.

if you scroll pfe, you want magic circle against evil. same effect just aoe, but the important thing is that the lvl 1 spell single target version only grants command immunity for 1 minute despite being a 5 minute buff. this is due to a buff to buffs that are cast at a low caster level some time ago, and did not completely apply properly to this spell. this may have changed since i tested it which was a while ago.

additionally, the way a fighter addresses reflex save is to wear heavy armor.

fort you should be fine on and doesnt matter that much anyway.

I made a maul swinging dwarf Kensai and I am quite happy with him. If you use mauls improved sunder + stunning blow is a great combination and with http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Drow_Maul_of_the_Weapon_Master and http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Giant%27s_Fist_%28Level_28%29 there are two great mauls for epics in game. And dwarf can get: Dwarven Runes - Gain +1/+2/+3 to saves against spell effects If you have APs left you can spend them on the dwarfen Hammer line.

Nice to know. I really dont care for top build, want to do one that is fun to play. The problem i think is healing and saves, the ED in epics should help on that.

I will take the advice (already got 2 DW googles from tanglo) and the boots.
Thx all
