What is a good, steady half-elf paladin build that will heal itself and do damage? I don't have nice tomes or anything. I already have cleave. I have 15 str, 13 dex, 10 Con. I was stupid with that Con :(.

I looted a sword of the thirty. It looks good for two-handed fighting. I might be getting a whirlwind soon (maybe a gift for me).

Thank you for the help.

First off, all new chars should start out with an LR +0 HoW (http://ddowiki.com/page/Lesser_Reincarnation) so you can redo your stats & feats at any time. My usual advice for base stats on a 28-pt pally is 16/8/14/10/8/16: i.e., 10 pts ea. STR & CHA, 6 pts CON, 2 pts INT for extra skill pts. 32+ pt builds can bump up any of those stats; or possibly DEX to acquire Precision (req's base DEX 13), which is helpful when fighting high-Fortification foes like undead.

The typical feats for a non-human THF pure pally these days are: Power Atk (1), THF (3), ITHF (6), Improved Crit:Slash (9), GTHF (12), ??? (15), ??? (18), Overwhelming Crit (21). The lvl 15 & 18 feats are up to you; I usually go for Quicken + Empower Heal, but you may also want to consider tactics feats like Imp Sunder or Precision (if your DEX is high enough).

thank you for the answer.

What enhancements for a paladin? The forums are full of changes but many posts are old.

I would suggest at least 41 APs into KotC (T5s, capstone), 24 APs into Sacred D. (extra LoHs, Swift Defense, Gtr Sacred bonuses of +6 STR and +20% HPs), and 7 APs into HE tree (+1 STR or CHA, Dmg Boost, +10% heal amp). That leaves 8 APs to tweak things, like investing in your HE dilly or Harper if you have it.

Why Sacred Defender if I do not carry a shield?

Gtr Sacred / Stalwart Defensive bonuses require either a shield OR med/hvy armor to be equipped. On a pure pally, there's no reason not to equip med/hvy armor for better PRR/MRR, which also enables Gtr Sacred bonuses.

My paladin now is epic.

I read forums and then farm (and beg) and she have epic Antique Axe. I get told this good baby weapon for epic quests.

She get level 3 in Unyielding Sentinel. People in groups ask "Why not in Divine Crusader?"

She get level 3 in Divine Crusader. People in groups say "Why no killing aura? Why no awesome epic damage?"

I do not know where to put destiny points. It is very confusing.

What is good in Divine Crusader for paladin? Thank you for help!

First off, congratulations on making it to epic levels and acquiring an eAGA (http://ddowiki.com/page/Epic_Antique_Greataxe). :) That's probably still the second-best ML:20 2H weapon after eSOS (http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Epic_Sword_of_Shadow) (which should still be on your gear wishlist); and since it's a near-universal DR breaker (http://ddowiki.com/page/Monster_DR_and_weaknesses) already, I recommend using the Red augment slot for Devotion 90, which can be acquired from Gianthold (http://ddowiki.com/page/Augment_Slot/Purchasable_Augments#Broag_Umber). [If you need a skeleton beater, I recommend either eFotF (http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Epic_Fury_of_the_Flame) or ML:20 Mournlode (http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Mournlode_Weapons) maul; or just shop around for a maul of Disruption.]

For a Div Crusader pally (or really any melee build), I would definitely take: Purge the Wicked, max Consecration, Sacred Ground, No Regret, Crusade, Castigation, Celestial Champion, and Strike Down. That's 16 EDPs, with 8 to spread as you see fit; some will have to go to filler to unlock higher tiers.

As for gameplay, remember to always turn on your Aura of Purification (it gets switched off whenever you spend EDPs so it's easy to forget), make regular use of Consecration & Zeal of the Righteous, and add Strike Down to your Cleave rotation.

As a pure KotC Paladin the capstone makes your weapons good aligned, so the only benefit from Blessed Blades is the lawful flag. But, how many Thaarak Hounds or Daelkyr do you really fight in Epics?

There's what, 4 hounds in Epic Prisoner? Not sure it's worth two Epic Destiny points to bypass the DR of a monster you hardly ever fight.

Good point: dropped Blessed Blades.

Thank you for answers. You write many answers to new people in the forums and it is all good help!

I have "triple positive" maul from Shroud. Do I need maul from Mournland?

I will change Divine Crusader.

No, triple-pos is fine; you didn't mention having any GS, so I didn't know if you owned / had run Shroud.
