Title says it all. I had alot of it planned about a year or so ago, but then I stopped playing and I guess I either didn't save my plans or I can't find them. I want to go twf khopesh, most likely human. Also doing traps. The thing is though, I'm not certain on the splashes yet, was thinking 1 rogue, maybe 4 pally. Pally is just for the extra saves, mostly the LOH. Another thought was 1 rouge, 1 fighter or something along that line, but I'm not sure how confident I am on just relying on cure spells from the ranger, and some pots of course, but bleh. I currently have 3 barb., 2 pally, about to finish my 3rd monk life, have all the trapping gear, +4 tomes, can't really think of anything else. Overall it just has to be 1. a trapper, 2. khopesh.

Thank you everyone.

I would also consider a Noyellowbar (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/430998-Noyellowbar-a-100-monk-free-U19-Build-(15Ranger-4Paladin-1Fighter)) variant: rgr 15 / pal 4 / rog 1. I posted a drow build here (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/430998-Noyellowbar-a-100-monk-free-U19-Build-(15Ranger-4Paladin-1Fighter)?p=5179287&viewfull=1#post5179287); a human build w/khopesh is an easy conversion. The biggest changes are (A) you can pick up defensive stance from Sacred D. at pal lvl 3 (+25 PRR for 6 APs is a great survivability boost); and (B) you no longer need Gt Cleave for Overwhelming Crit and Dance of Death is so powerful, I would seriously consider dropping the Power Atk/CL/GC line and taking just Precision, which gives you a couple extra feats to play with.

That makes me curious. I have a TWF centered Kensei 12ftr/6rgr/2monk that I haven't played in awhile (been slowly leveling my caster in a druid life). Is DoD so good it's worth dropping keen edge?

I would say no, DoD is strong but i feel its getting a little FotM treatment because its new and the first good AoE option for a TWF. IMO the Tier 5 crit increases are still over all better then DoD.

Good input. Just a note, this is just for 1 - 20, no epics. Leaning more towards 4 pally and 1 rogue atm.

So you only get to 18 (assuming you don't take 19 to keep quest options open) that means you are really maxing at 13/4/1 which seams like a bad choice to me as Cure Serious is important for self healing. 16/1/1 would have CSW and FoM (helps make up for the lower saves).

IMO 15/4/1 is the better endgame build for leveling i would take the 18/1/1. Also IMO CSW > LoH for healing you can use more of them and they can hit for a lot, if you have Devotion and Healing Amp.

For heroics only I would still stick with both Cleaves and PA.

Strength based pure all the way sans first Rogue level.
You have "you can't touch this ac" with little investment ( 50 at level 12, 60 for Vale, much more if you have any Martial lives ) and 110+ non metaed cmw with 66 augment in Sands.
You certainly don't need more saves, prr or hp for heroics, not at the cost of delaying cures and cure caster levels, twf feats and IPS.
Blue bar healing is more than enough for any at level heroic elite.

If you're playing a centered toon, then you need Keen Edge + One w/Blade to stay centered, so DoD or other T5s aren't an option. If you're looking at potential armor-wearing respecs, Legendary Dreadnought + Pulverizer + dual Mornhs + DoD has a lot to recommend it. Particularly since Pulverizer will also apply to longbows if you have Morphic Arrows active. For everything else, well, it depends.

Arguments about Holy Sword are for another thread.

Rgr 14 / pal 3 / arty or rog 1 is another option (presuming OP is set on trap skills); you give up 2nd lvl 4 spell slot, but gain Div Grace & defensive stance (+25 PRR for 6 APs).

That also gives up Divine Might.

Well, yeah: so does your 16/1/1 split.

Well, yeah: so does your 16/1/1 split.

Your split also gives up the fourth favored enemy, 15/1/1 and can invest more in INT do to not needing CHA making Know the Angles more effective.

Now 14/4 Ranger/Paladin that's interesting at level 18 but it gives up the Trap skills so ...

rgr 16 / ftr 1 / rog 1 gets you a fourth FE, an extra feat, and two lvl 4 spells (CSW & FoM). rgr 14 / pal 3 / rog 1 gets you one lvl 4 spell slot, Div Grace for a big boost to saves, and +25 PRR from defensive stance, which almost doubles the PRR you get from lt armor alone at that lvl; add Imp Parry & +10 PRR blue augment and you've got ~70 PRR at lvl 18, if I'm adding right.

TBH, I'd rather do rgr 15 / pal 3 or rgr 14 / pal 4 for a heroic leveling build, but OP wants trap skills, so...

That's the lowest level you can realistically have Dance of Death?

Do you think the Saves and PRR are needed at level 18?

36 AP Tempest
12 AP Racial

at the end of level 12 which is as soon as you can take a tier 5.

For me? Yes. For other people? Dunno.

No, I'm sorry that a bit ridiculous.

You never did TR before PRR?

Or post Motu when the most PRR you could get in heroics was less than 30 on a light-armor build?

If you answer "yes" to either of those questions your need for high PRR is unfounded, especially in content where AC still works.

Saves? In heroics reflex is really the only one that matters and it doesn't really matter as much as it does in epics where the AOE damage hits full-******. Rangers can get more than enough of that without Divine Grace.

Mr. OP: 18/1/1 better for what you're looking for. You wanting traps skills makes it this way. I've played both, the 4 pally splash is much harder to kill in epics but I can't believe you'd notice this in heroics. The 4 pally levels will also sap your skill points so keeping rogue-skills high will be harder than on that 18/1/1

So way too late for cleaving kobolds in waterworks. Something to think about next time I TR to a level 1 :)
