Look I know that this has come up before, and on past experience it will come up again, but please Turbine , PLEASE Turbine, can we have Gnomes in the game? They were always a core race, and D&D based games just feel lacking without the little people pottering about. They should NOT be uber in any way shape or form, but should be there for folk who want them. I will buy the class and a spare slot. Please do it folks.

And what will set a gnome apart from the other races? If they don't do anything special, they're just a smaller dwarf.

Gnome is just degenerate spawn of blasphemous mating of dwarf with hobbit.
No to that abominations!

Vellrad, you need to relax, all this xenophobia in one package!! You were happy with Half orcs ? they as core as gnomes. Half elves? yep they are acceptable. Give them a bonus to illusion spells and maybe a bonus with repeating crossbows and they'll be FOTM before you can say "lawn ornament". I would request that the image used as a basis is from the Monster Manual rather than the later imaginings. Please let us have Gnomes.

Another small sized race besides Halflings would be cool. Gnomes are fine, but how about Goblins?

Gnomes {Svirfnebli, Forest Gnomes, Eberron Gnomes} and Kobolds!

"The Little People Pack"

Also brings in Goblins as a major enemy for low level players!

yes to gnomes, they are core to eberron.
no to the manga goblins or 5.0 gnomes, keep m nice and creepy like the eberron handbook

edit:
now i thought a bit more about this, they will avoid introducing goblins due to wow.
they can however introduce daulghaunt and dolgrim (2 mutated goblins made into 1 being)

I know. But much fun was had where that comes from. So much goblining...

In all seriousness, though, Goblins are probably one of the most playable "monstrous" races that could be introduced because there's no quest where you have to fight them. Gnomes would be another possibility, but they'd be yet another race with +2 Con, and there's already... 4 of those or something?

gnomes could be made into a +2 wis(not core, i know) race with some racial fluf added
some minor changes in the market place (post office).... who knows

Gnomes, Kobolds, Draconics, Half Ogre, Half Giant, Tieflings, Aasimar, oh my.

Now somebody start a kickstarter campaign to get these races in - base goal: 250,000 USD - stretch 2,000,000 USD (to get all 6 and to fix cannith crafting and finish the guild system/management)

I seem to recall Gnomes being a magical race originally (in the 1978 Players Handbook)

Didn't they have a bonus to Int as their primary?

Maybe a bonus to Illusions as well, can't really recall.

Seem to recall a sub-class, "The Tinkerer" that built stuff also some underground types and forest types.

+2 Int, -2 (w/e) with some spell-casting or Artificing type enhancements and bonuses would make them unique.

BTW I'm disappoint.

I thought this thread would be filled with Gnome puns.

"Gnome is where the heart is", "All roads lead to Gnome", that kind of stuff.

Have you lost your mind to Xoriat?

Looks like another one for the asylum.

I hope the Nurse treats you well...
