View Full Version : Bladeforged Docents - Do You Disagree or Just Not Care?

I made a post a week or so ago about the fact that regular docents look like doodoo on Bladeforged. The post got 171 views, so apparently people are interested, but no replies. Since this is my first BF I was curious if others had this experience and if so if they had an opinion about it. Or is everyone fine with the cosmetic stuff and looking like every other BF?

Maybe I like looking like doodoo?

Everyone uses the BF cosmetics so they don't care (or know) what the standard docents look like.

Geoff.

Care or not it's generally less trouble to work around a problem than expect devs to fix something. The choice of reported bugs seems random and asking for anything on the forums is like banging your head against a wall of Nay-sayers. People just adapt or leave, mostly the latter.

On topic of the docents, one word: cameltoe.

Agree mostly, but it's not that high on my things-that-I-care-about list.

There are some happy surprises like the black dragonscale, which I thought looks good.

I use a cosmetic on my main (currently BF). So "she" looks like the rest of my main's lives, just metal like and not very feminine.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not necessarily calling for change, just asking for others' opinions to see if maybe I was just unlucky with the docents I've been trying or whatever. I'm not satisfied looking like every other Bladeforged. Thanks for the picture of the Black Dragonscale - that does look nice.

Docents on BF look like "doo doo"

I choose to look like whatever the abomination of docent I am using looks like.

Don't Bladeforged look weird from the get go, not just the docents?
Too big a spikes pointing out of everything and then shoulderpads that where to big to start with get another racial size bonus.
But isn't the look of the docent based on both the base body and the type of plating on top of it?

One of my favorite looks was the "steam" docent kit, but I don't see it anywhere as a glamered armor.

I missed the pre-order glowing blue cosmetic that everyone favors, so even if I wanted to use that I don't think I can acquire it.

The black dragonscale actually looks pretty terrible in my opinion--too many exposed parts of the livewood showing. On my remaining warforged character, it covers everything...

^ Lots of truth here...at least for me. However, I agree they look bad :) Unfortunately, I think with the advent of Cosmetics, I don't think there's a lot of incentive in the Art department to remedy this.

They have the quorforged docent of battle, which makes the best cosmetic in the game (the suppressed version).
What more do you need?

Pepto Bismo Pink, DO NOT PUT THIS ON YOUR WF/BF! IT IS HARMFUL TO THEIR HEALTH! (and fugly!) Eth has no fashion sense.

Why should they care?

Since Update 1, there's been less unique docents than fingers on Uncle Bob's hand after the skillsaw accident.

The Devs don't care nor support the P2P race for at least 5 years.

Why start caring now?

Here's a little trick for warforged. Take off any armor kit and hit the armor kit toggle. The pink docent suddenly becomes a nice gray docent.

Many docents have an alternate version that can be toggled this way.

There are some really cool ones out there! My favorite, and the one I currently run with:

Welp. You are using it kinda wrong.
You have to hit the armor appearance toggle on the inventory doll. That will fix the "undergarment" of the docent to look as intended.
Give it a try.

No, they are doing it right.

Most docent appearances IMO look better this way.

And some completely lose their look. Like Stone Exoskeleton.
It's quite annoying to reapply the cosmetic every time I swap armors, if I want to keep the cosmetic look.
