View Full Version : Challenge: Fleshy non-undead wizard viable for EEs

Ok, so here's a challenge. Check out the new Harper tree. Create a new build for a wizard that is viable in EE that doesn't rely on pale master. Perhaps Eldritch Knight and Harper, with some support from Archmage. A little splashing is acceptable, but I'm looking for something that is still fundamentally a wizard. Any takers?

some elements: you'll be able to get int to damage and probably also to hit in Harper tree
Harper tree has a lot of +int available, maybe enough to not feel gimped compared to Lich-form pale masters
Arcane supremacy has a hidden +2 int which if it isn't WAI ought to be.
Harper tree also has some heal amp in it, which can help self-sufficiency.

You could just twist in Coccoon like almost everyone else.

TWF melee Wizard in Primal Avatar, it would take 2 twist slots to get some shiradi goodies for MM-pew-pew =D

2 fvs for almost infinite sp, 2 monk for evasion, archmage for super cheap magic missile. Shiradi... with cocoon.

How is this a challenge? Pure Wizard.
41 points in AM, 23 points in harper, 6 points in racial. Rest whatever you like.
Twist cocoon, swap some items for healing amp gear. Done.

Compared to 41 AM, 31 PM, 6 racial you lose 1 necro DC and the undead traits, but gain more AP to freely distribute and some valuable level 4 spell slots (since you don't need necrotic burst + death aura) and quite a bit of spellpower from the harper tree. Int remains the same regarding enhancements. You likely lose +1 int from twists.
