View Full Version : Arti gearing help using Cannith challenge items and easy farm gear?

I have a 12 arti 2 rogue that I made as a bank toon to hold repeaters/docents and who I ended up playing a bit to help out guildies who needed trappers while levelling. Until a couple days ago, despite being 14th level she was still running around in a 5 piece Abashai set. She's one of "those" toons (those as in "can't be bothered to gear up").

After she died horribly in a few quests that should have been easy, I decided it was time to spruce up her gear.

She's now wearing:

Trinket: Greater Nimble Trinket (Attack Bonus +1, Dodge 2%, Blurry)
Head: Minos Legens Helm (Fortification 100%, Vitality +20)
Cloak: Cloak of Flames (Combustion +90, Fire Lore 15%, Heightened Awareness +2 AC, Fire Absorption 15%, Fire Shield (Hot), Masterful Craftsmanship ML: 13)
Gloves: Charged Gauntlets (Shocking Blow, Strength +2, Lightning Resistance 10) // swap: Disable Device +13 // swap: Open Locks +13
Bracers: Wind Howler Bracers (Marksmanship, Weapon Proficiency: Longbows and Shortbows, Shrieking Bolt)
Boots: Rock Boots (Corrosion +90, Acid Lore 15%, Stone Prison Guard, Earthgrab Guard, Immunity to Slippery Surfaces, Masterful Craftsmanship ML: 13)
Neck: Nightforge Gorget (Fortification 100%, yellow slot: Fear Immunity) // swap: Silver Flame Pendant (Deathblock, Negative Energy Absorption 5/rest)
Ring 1: Jade Ring (+1 resistance, colorless: Master's Gift 5% XP)
Ring 2: Deadly Ring (Deadly +7) // swap: Underwater Action
Belt: Improved False Life +20
Goggles: Search +13
Armor: Crimson Chain (Haste Guard, Reflex Save +5, Mithril)

She has 0% ASF in her armor (thank you helf and battle engineer enhancements).

I made her mc/ml: 13 Spare Hand, but I don't know that it's actually worth it to wear it. Other than the trapping it looks like it's all melee effects.

Her main xbow is a heavy repeater +4 Shocking Burst of Righteousness. Of course, that +4 is wasted because her conjured bolts are +4, but that's one of the many things I need to fix up. She pairs it with either Hand of the Tombs or Turmoil Within. She also uses a mc/ml: 14 Calomel repeater paired with her Chill of Winter rune arm.

"Back in the day" the Windhowler bracers were choice gear for artis. I have no idea if they're still worth it or if I'm better off with something else.

She has a ghostbane repeater she uses with Hand of the Tomb for those pesky incorporeal ghosts.

Recoyle is in her farming queue, along with a triple positive GS repeater and a GS hit point item. She has a Doublecross Xbow and Silver Slinger waiting for her when she hits 16. Other than that, suggestions on what I might be able to farm up easily would be appreciated.

Consider also Storm Horns asap - A Break in the Ice - Sage's Spectacles (Level 15) - Intelligence +8, Combustion +84 - ML15

Armor: Crafted Superior Stability. Heroic Dragonscale is nice. Fleshshaper's Brigandine if alts have banked. Parasitic Breastplate (light).

You could also get a cove hat. BtA from store if you want. SFL. Or even archmagi + concentration.

since you like challenges, don't forget the Ring of the Stalker--manslayer, seeker, ethereal, etc
Also, Frozen tunic's freezing ice procs very well in heroics--though associated with monks, it is really great for all melees and ranged, especially if AC is not an issue
Artis have lightning motes that get buffed by electric spell power--maybe go with bracers of wind? then you can swap out the trinket. Shimmering arrowhead adds a great ranged proc
