Usually this is the kind of release that comes from a very bad bug that no one is openly complaining about, or a not working as intended design that everyone is using to bypass game difficulty.

Take it for what it is worth. A fix to something. Hopefully it stops my mouselook from freaking out.

Yeah, I realized after I posted that it might be a little bit too convincing to get recognized as a joke...

Sweet! Finally I can buy my colorless Evasion gem for 195 Turbine Points and my Sword of Shadows shard for 395 Turbine Points after tomorrow's update!

Thank you guys!

Well, given the targeting issue that IIRC was an old issue that was fixed; I am guessing that they are going to flip the switch that corrects that problem.

They might be fixing some exploits...why else is there no release notes for a hotfix

This is when they'll secretly fix the vicious pile of Pale Master cooldown and damage bugs. They would have told you, but dead (wo)men tell no tales...

Heartbleed?

nope.

DDO does not use SSL technology to communicate between the client and the game servers.

Announced as a hotfix, and on a wednesday....highly unlikely

Hmm, my client does not want to cooperate with me, it seems.

It searches for a logon server 20 times and then it just crashes.

Mine says it "cannot save data files".

Retries every 60 seconds.

EDIT: fixed, there was a 200kB process dndclient.exe locking the files, I just killed it.

The update sat still for a few minutes and looked like it had locked up. I was going to reboot, but got distracted by something shiny. After several minutes, the update finally did continue.

Also, various sources have confirmed that all exploits in DDO have now been fixed and Turbine can now rest assured that no more exploiting will take place in DDO after their most recent hotfix.

Since no release notes: What have you noticed different?

Lots of changes to client_gamelogic.dat. Though that probably covers tons of systems in the game. I had hoped they might have fixed the sometimes game-killing lag that sometimes pops in the Deathwyrm raid.

I'm guessing they mostly fixed the <REDACTED> problem. Kind of sad. When people say they're a triple completionist and all ETR's you're not sure whether they spent tons of time in game or just <REDACTED> in one night. Though someone with tons of $ could do the same thing I guess.

Keep getting time out error at 33%. I have tried the support sight and followed the instruction to allow dndlauncher.exe to be trusted with Norton 360. However, this has not allowed the update to down load. Have been trying to log on for the last two days with no luck. I have windows 8.1 and Norton 360 running. Any suggestions to get past this problem. It appears I am the only one having this problem because I am seeing nothing on the forums. I couldnt find the dndclinet file that is 200kB in size that Ykt found to kill. Thank you for any suggestions.

The Traveler/Egg Hunt is coming back?

With enough guesses, I think I got this one right.
