View Full Version : Let blocking and tumbling interrupt all other animations

It would greatly help pretty much any build if it were possible for blocking and tumbling could interrupt other actions. For example: Say you are facing an ogre in melee combat. Right in the middle of your attack animation the ogre performs that triple attack that hits you 3 times in a row if you're in the way. There is very little warning for this attack, and no matter what you do you will get hit if you are in melee range of this ogre. However, you can get more benefit from blocking and/or tumbling if you are able to activate those abilities more quickly. That triple attack hurts!

Yeah, it's kind of lame that you have to finish your current attack sequence/whatever in order to block/tumble. It really makes both of those abilities really limited and useless. There's almost always a detectable asynchronicity between a visible tell animation and when the effect of that animation happens (so that the effect sometimes even hits you BEFORE the tell). Add in a few milliseconds of uninterruptable animations and there's just no real way to make any use of active blocking/tumbling. You just have to eat it.
