********** BUILD UPDATED as of December 11, 2014, with U23 gear **********

After few PMs about the latest revision of my fvs, here it is... (I don't plan to update the gear with U24)
http://i.imgur.com/AZAMyb5.jpg
On screen shot: Showing off stats by blocking, using all temporary self-buffs, 25 SP potion (comm of valor) and 20 brillance pot (I have NO plans to farm eStar challenges for 25 brillance pots). Lacking 24 universal spell power from meridian since there's nothing to hit me on the ship.
Someone could easilly elevate those stats/spell power higher with past lives, yugo/store pots, friendly buffs, higher ship buffs (mines are lvl 117 on screen shot).....

No changes from original post:
All +5 stat tomes (only con required), no skill tomes.
Only 2 bard and 1 fvs PL, no epic PL, no iconic PL.

I LR'd quite a few times and went thru many different classes combos.
16 fvs, 2 wiz, 2 pal: Nice for almost free maximized but not much other benefits.
13 fvs, 5 wiz, 2 pal: Arcane Supremacy is just amazing! But that was too close from my shiradi toon (12/6/2) and if I want to do this again, i'll just change shiradi for exalted on it.
16 fvs, 3 pal, 1 cleric: Sacred Defence + SLA Nimbus + extra light power/crit. Good, but Nimbus SLA is tied to cleric levels and not character levels as I expected.

I wanted to stay 16+ fvs for the mass DW and base caster lvls since this toon is primary used in groups. The other issue I had with 3 classes splits is the lack of enhancements points. The possibility to add 10% running speed with the current split was appealing enough to me (and my zerger heart) to keep it as a 2 class split.

Fvs 16 / Paladin 4
Stats : 8/10/16/13/11/18
Feats : Maximize, Mental Toughness, Empower, Quicken, toughness, Improved Mental Toughness, Empower Heal. (This leaves 1 feat of to choose; I went dodge. Completionist would be the obvious choice if I had it or Force of Personality for ridiculous will saves....)
FvS Feats : Sovereign Host, Acid, Fire, Electric
Skills Maxed : Concentration, diplomacy, Heal and Spellcraft. 11 in UMD, 6 in jump, 1 in tumble.
Epic Feats: Epic toughness, Epic Mental toughness, Light Spell Power, Ruin, Hellball.

GEAR:
Helm : eN+ Blue Dragon +3Charisma (Yellow : Draconic Gem / Colorless : Gem of Blood)
Goggle : Epic Glimpse of the Soul (Yellow : +2 Int / Green : Trying to get Jump 15)
Necklace : Mystic Eidolons (Green : Natural Armor 8)
Trinket : Manual of Stealthy Pilfering (Green : Sonic Res +40)
Cloak : Green Steel Concordant Opposition (Blind/Disease/150SP Neg/Pos/Pos)
Belt : Green Steel Smoke II +45 HP
Gloves : Constitution +10 of Flase Life +50 (Epic fanged gloves with +8 con / false life 40 would be a terribly good option too)
Boots : Epic Boots of the Innocent (Yellow : Dex +8 / Green : Protection 8)
Ring : Lantern Ring (Yellow : SP 250 / Colorless : Vitality +20)
Ring : Guardian's Ring (Yellow : Poison Resist 10) <--- At this point, all was covered. :D
Bracers : Greater Convalescent of Superior Parry
Armor : Blue Dragon Heavy Armor (Blue : Heavy Fort) // (DR 30 ShadowPlate is an excellent option too, but I prefer spell power over it).

Weapon : TF Longsword - Fire 150/Purple Slot/Universal Lore 17% (Orange : Impulse 138 / Purple : Devotion 138 / Colorless : Heal 15)
Orb : Libram of Silver Magic (Orange : Meridian Fragment)

Switch Weapon : TF Longsword - Radiance 150/Eternal Scorching Light (when I cast Archon)

****************************** ORIGINAL POST *******************************

.... since I receive a lot of ingame questions about my build I tought it would be easier to redirect people to forums.

This isn't a build idea, this is what I am using.
Thus, there is probably something similar on this forum.
Since this isn't a build criticism either, or a search for improvement, I will not be posting a level by level progression, just the main lines with enough informations for anyone to build it.
I also know it could be improved a lot further by more past lives, tomes.... bla bla bla, but again, this ain't the topic here. :p
I won't be going into specific tactics on how to be effective with this build either. Some of it will be covered at bottom.

Concept: This is a Divine Nuker/Healer, focussing on spell-like ability to kill and heal. High survivability, high DPS, that can solo pretty much every quests eE. I usualy end up solo healing raids, while leading kill counts. (I am a follower of 'The best offense is the best defense', so I blow it up before I need to heal too much). But the best part of my toon : He is a chest blesser! :p ;) And the even better part (and most important) of it : It's fun as hell to play !!!!! In fact, I never had such a blast playing DDO. Altho this is relative to personal preferences and play style, this build sent my fury monkcher, my stun-palm monk and my shiradi nuker on shelves to collect dust. I am now even reconsidering my plans for the final life on my almost completed 87 past lives main character.

At level 24 eN CiTW, when i was testing out the concept, still using lvl 13-18 gear / solo healing, anna baby-sitter, 180 kills, only 1 shrine, no pots:

Few days ago, with gear completed (beside a perfect staff) eE CiTW:

Anything else i may use in middle of the fray : quicken

Usual questions I receive:
q. Why you cast spawn screen when buffing up in raids?
a. With group around, that's an instant 10 charges of righteous fervor (blood and radiance). I do that right before spell power boost, then Archon. This way my canon receives +50 light spell power boots (25 effective) and this last for the time it is summoned (5 mins). I recast spell power boots each time you need to refresh archon.

q. What's your blade barrier DC?
a. 24. and I'm happy with it. I only use it to charge up scourge quicker.

q. You have Heavy Fort on 2 items. Ain't this a lost of a slot?
a. I switch often to PLiS, thus I want H-Fort elsewhere than on my trinket.

q.Why no efficient empower of maximized?
a. Because the only spell where it would be worthwile and that i use a lot is searing light, to charge up wrath quicker. But even with empower and maximize, it's not worth the lowered SP cost; searing light damages are bad and always will be. It only used to charge up so I cast it quickened only. Everything else is SLA and I'm only using emp heal on mass cure (no emp or max)

q. Why points in diplomacy?
a. Some quests requires it to make your life easier. Also because you'll pull a lot of aggro if you want to go all-out DPS; tanks hardly keep aggro agains me if I want to, and only a selected amount high-end of fury shooter can steal it. So if you prefer NOT to be the main tank, you will need it. I personaly use it a lot when I feel like dropping some mobs to NPC (FoT as an example).

q. Grt. Conv. bracers no longer drop. Any other suggestions?
a. Sun Soul bracers. You will free up a +2 Con slot.

q. Can you max out dodge at 25 rather than 24?
a. I used to run with tier 2 stance and without Dragonmarks. But I prefer chest blessing over 1% dodge and 1 saves. alternatively, 1 could have 3 shadar-kai PL and free up mobility while keeping 25 dodge + chest blessing.

q. What spells you use?
a. For offense, I use searing light all the time and DP on bosses. I very very rarely use BB.
Ruins and Hellball as epic spells, situational.
SLAs: Avenging Light, Divine Wrath, Energy Burst, Boulder. Add rebuke on bosses.
For mass healing: Wrath. 99% of time. This will keep a party up. Sometimes add 1 mass cure between cooldowns against heavy hitter bosses.
Single Target: Renew. Heal for emergency only.

q. how can you keep rebuke stacked while spaming wrath every 15 secs?
a. wrath requires 10 charges, rebuke 5. Wrath gains you 1 stack per target hit (damage on foes, healing on friends). So if you're on a raid boss, target + you + 3 others melees around = instant rebuke avaiable. So I ususaly cast wrath then rebuke. Afterward, you have roughly 13 secs to recharge wrath, and with avenging + searing every 3 secs, shoulder canon every 2, DP every 2, you'll be recharged before the cooldown is over.

q. 80 saves is overkill.
a. yeah. but if you remove paladin lvls, you barely break 60. This isn't enough in many eE if you are soloing.

q. Ruin and Hellball are terribly bad and mana drainers. Why you use them?
a. I do NOT use em all the time. But when I need a quick blast, they are amazing. Try them out. If you still beleive they are bad, you did something wrong with this build. I usualy run over, gather a lot of trash and cast wrath + burst to eliminate em quickly. If mobs have 10k+ HP or burst is on cooldown, HB kicks in. I don't use HB on single target tho, it's ment for groups. As for ruin, I use only as needed, to get rid of a single target quickly when boulder is on timer.

q. Solo healing a raid while leading kill counts, how much pots you drink in average
a. Depends on how I feel. Usualy none, as most of my nukes/heals are cheap SLAs. But if I deceide to go all out DPS, or if things turn wrong and I want to get rid of a boss quick, then I may drink 1 or 2. Really relative to what you do. But keep in mind that on a boss, 5x Rebuke stack, 3x DP, Wrath, Avenging, ruins, boulder every 20 secs, burst every 30s...... it doesn't last very long.

q. Why build a FvS nuker on Charisma rather than Wis?
a. 90% of my offense is based on no-save ability or Charisma based ones (Wrath, Avenging, Burst, Hellball). Burst is a reflex, thus will sometimes be evaded in eE, but Avenging and Wrath are Fort saves. At worst, they'll take 50% damage. (you will still see evades when it happens, but it's a display glitch; cannot evade fort saves). Wis FvS are fun, but mana sinks at high levels and I got bored of it.

q. What kind of build is this?
a. Refer to this post.

Can you test this on lamania? It was no longer working this way in the kobold room :(

So I am very interested in this build but i was wondering how you would go about building this on a first lifer with a 32 point build? Thank you in advance for any insight you may be able to give to me.

That is funny you should ask, because backing it off to a first life build was one of the first mental exercises I did. There are a few "needs" a newer player has that an established one grows past. The OP build is a high end sports car, but sometimes it is nice to have a cheap muscle car. Here are my thoughts on how to dial the build back for a newer player.... as you get established or more lives, you could move towards the OP version.

This "build" can be done on a first life 32 point toon with no tomes. OBVIOUSLY, it is not as optimal... but it can be done.

Str 8
Dex 13 (You need 13 dex for dodge)
Con 16 + 5 levelups (You need 21 con for epic toughness)
Int 14
Wis 9
Cha 16

For every point of dexterity you have from tomes, you can lower the initial purchase of dex. You have to delay taking the second level of monk until you are high enough to get dex to 13.
For every point of constitution you have from tomes, you can move a level up over to charisma.
If you have int tomes, you can borrow a point from int if it means you can bump con or charisma and not take too bad a hit on skills.
Int is the most important tome to get because you don't retroactively get skill points without a LR
Con/Cha are the next two important tomes to get because they are your survival stats
The remaining stats still deserve a tome because they still have lesser effect on survival (Str lets you carry more and stay in water stance and have a higher natural jump skill).

For a new character, I would also make the following adjustments:
1. Replace the mobility and chest blessing feats with Adept of forms and Master of forms. Your ending charisma will be far lower than what the OP reaches, the extra saves help a lot when you are undergeared.
2. Max the following skills: Concentration, Heal, Spellcraft, UMD. On monk levels dump your points into jump, balance and tumble (only one point for tumble). UMD means that scrolls can help replace equipment that you don't have.
3. I would only invest enough in the human tree to get to traditionalist caster. GH is not hard to UMD and spending the points in the AoV tree gets you more spell power.
4. Moving one more point into the war priest tree to get smite weakness has a huge payback in raids.

I'm still trying to determine what to do with this information. It is the next obvious step for the NovaSoul build. I had already moved from pure FVS to 18 FVS/2 Monk. The 18/2 is still struggling to get saves high enough as a first life toon and the paladin splash would help a lot. I haven't updated the NovaSoul build in quite a while, and I'm not likely to do it until I get around to running one at epic levels again. If that happens, I am leaning towards including a 16/2/2 version and crediting/linking this thread. It took courage to give up level 9 spells, that was a step I never tried out... and the OP deserves kudos for stepping a little further outside the box to help make an EE solo viable divine.

Con 16 + 5 levelups (You need 21 con for epic toughness)

I'd just give up on Epic Toughness entirely. Take Epic Damage Reduction instead for the PRR. New player with fewer resources is going to want the Charisma level ups for more saves, more spellpoints.

So I am very interested in this build but i was wondering how you would go about building this on a first lifer with a 32 point build? Thank you in advance for any insight you may be able to give to me.

Check Matuse post right above. Exactly what I would also do on a first lifer.
Epic Toughness only gives you 50 HP, and while good, won't break a build that can already heal himself that much.
You'll end up somewhere around 750-800 once geared which will be very good, mostly on an champion build.

Arm yourself with patience when you will level up this toon tho. It's probably the worst build I played pre-20.
At very early levels, your melee abilities are close to useless and you cannot back yourself with hold person, as your DC are terribly low.
Low wisdom means no spells will be really effective for pretty much everything 1-20. (altho meta'd BB will be ok until +/-18)
Even if max+emp searing lights deliver good damage at earlier level, this will drain your blue bar like crazy.
If you can get decent wraps for your level, use unarmed attacks and add more points into warpriest (that you can respect later on).
Maxed divine might will be your main friend.
From 1-12 and 18-20 (when BB will be close to useless), remember that patience is a virtue, mostly if you're used to level with elite bravery.
Then, arm yourself with scrolls (adjust your enhancements here too) and turn yourself into an healing bot.
Once you reach 20 and your main destiny, you will start to shine.
This build ain't an heoric character boosted by a destiny, it's a destiny ehnanced by heoric abilities.

Hope this helps.

When I leveled Shammuh with a very similar build, I sometimes went sword and board with a longsword/shield. Sometimes I put on a bunch of items with damage guards and played turtle (the night hag trinket is amazing), and quite a bit of the time... I just played healbot for pugs. If you don't die, break boxes and keep throwing heals... even a TR party will tolerate you running along with them.

p.s. Playing turtle means hiding behind shield block and letting stuff beat on you. It actually can work in heroic levels... although it is not quick. Beware the bug where sometimes after shield blocking you cannot interact with objects. Changing your weaponset fixes that.

p.p.s. Oh yeah, you want to look at every instakill spell... the ones that do big damage on a save... load them up and think of them as direct dmg spells.

I just have a quick question, what do you do during the gaps in cd's for energy burst/wrath. I find myself just pressing 2 for Avenging Light and pulling through Blade Barriers, is it worth casting searing light vs trash?

Run Chains of Flame on heroic for an ML10 BTCoE Staff of Inner Sight...Att/Dam Mod is Int, Wis or Cha

Makes mid range leveling a tad bit easier. It's +5, 1.5[2d4] +6 Int, Red and Purple Slot for SP Augments and works good paired with Cannith Crafted Lore Items like rings and trinkets. (and +10 SP from Traditionalist Caster Enh if Human)

Not ideal but I got a ton of use out of it on Caster Druid, Wiz and FVS lives.

I've also been dumping Dex on non Int based casters when I don't build for Dodge and instead setting Casting Stat 18 and 16 Int rest in Con or Con+w/e and taking Insightful Reflexes.

You will <3 <3 <3 the skill points from the high Int Mod for Conc, Balance, Heal, Spellcraft, Tumble etc etc. and pairs well with Evasion.

This 2Monk/2Pal/16FVS build looks tight but with a +5 Dex Tome you could have left Dex at 8, still qualified for Dodge (ableit later) and pumped points into INT for Skills and Insightful Reflexes.

Hi,

How would this build work as a PDK, obviously you have to LR him away from the fighter level, but besides that? We do have an standard group and we are going to all TR as an Iconic characters, that's why I ask this.
As I do have character who is his second fvs life atm, this would seem a pretty good choice for his next life.

You should highly consider going Morninglord/20 FvS for what you're trying to accomplish, the saves are lower but standing Light power can reach 450 (w/out Empower or Maximize) and you can get Sun Bolt from AoV. Sun Bolt deals 1K/2k damage every 6 seconds at no spell cost. My FvS Looney has 1K plus HP and 4700 plus SP, can reach 5k plus with swapping gear in and out but that gets tiring.

Also if you haven't tried it I would swap Unearthy Reactions for Wild Shots (Free damage, 9 daggers in an arc, damage comparable to Hellball.

With the right gear, Prism Cloaks, Firestorm Greaves, Djinn Ring, etc...along with the occasional Fait swap for Energy Shealth, you can withstand almost any elemental damage on any EE content.

Just food for thought.

Avenging Light and Searing. Throw in Boulder when it's off timer. I almost never use BB as the DC is way too low and even with max+empower the damage output ain't that good for the SP cost. I'm casting searing quickened only. Once again, damages aren't that great, even with max+emp, but I charge wrath quicker.

Got +5's everywhere. Got those skills already maxed out (but only 1 point in tumble and 11 balance) and even allowed myself to max out diplomacy, my dodge% is maxed and I end up at 80/80/72 saves. I feel insight reflex isn't needed at all and prefer to save the feat slot. Your idea is still good, all depending on preferences and playstyle.

Will be pretty similar. You will mainly lose chest blessing and the dragonmark feat, which you can use for anything you'd like; like more pts into AoV for more universal spell power

You should highly consider going Morninglord/20 FvS for what you're trying to accomplish, the saves are lower but standing Light power can reach 450 (w/out Empower or Maximize) and you can get Sun Bolt from AoV. Yeah, Pure FvS/Sun-Elf wields stronger light power. It all depends on quests/diff you usualy play and personal playstyle. I personally wouldn't trade my eE survivability for a bit more power, since I solo a lot with this character. As for Wild Shots, this or roar may be my 4th twists if I deceide to turn my main into this build. But under no circumstance I would take reactions away. If it gives me more dodge and more reflex saves, the main reason I use it is to avoid being cornered. In eE, being stuck cornered is an instant death while the ability to tumble out of it will saves your life.

Probably Wild Shots. I'm currently suffering through epic levels because I have practically no destinies or gear. I'll give it until I get energy burst but if I'm still feeling useless I'll probably tr out of it. It'd be nice to have a real spell list and SLA list though because I think I'm missing some offense.

How are you getting 80 saves?

I have healgolem at 16fvs/2mnk/2pali and I took grandmaster of forms as well and in ocean stance I only have

71/80/63
25% dodge
PRR 46
754 HP - I took monk feats in stead of toughness - does this make up the difference?
3010 SP - I took monk feats instead of mental toughness - does this make up the difference?

ED twist went unearthly reactions (+6 Reflex), cocoon and Lithe (+6 Reflex saves) but it didnt look like you had this?

ED Feats went light spell power, elusive target, epic reflexes, ESF:Evoc

The save I care about if reflex - how do I boost this? I am already wearing Dex 11 item + 3 insightful Dex and CHA 9 of Resistance 9 with + 3 insightful CHA (a 10 of 10 would give me 2 more points)

Stats are
20
35
32
15
28
54

Maxing out my CHA/res item would give me
73
82
65

Which is some way off how you get your 80 number (and I have GMOF ocean running which it seems you don't, I have higher DEX, higher CHA, I have extra +6 twist etc)

Cheers
S

----

Edit: with the above, ship buffs, yugo pots and self cast GH I end up with a pretty steady 73/86/68

Which is a bit overkill maybe? I can step into Mountain stance for 76 PRR (35%), 91 AC and 70/80/61 and 858 HP

How are you getting 80 saves?

ED twist went unearthly reactions (+6 Reflex), cocoon and Lithe (+6 Reflex saves) but it didnt look like you had this?

ED Feats went light spell power, elusive target, epic reflexes, ESF:Evoc

Oo

I'm not running with Lithe or Epic Reflex, so that puts me about 8 points below you.
My gear only includes a +9 dex( 8 in slot + 1 from blood gem) over a +5 tome. Rest is my base 11. (again, lower than you)
Only using basic water stance. (another -2 vs. yours).
We pretty much have the same CHA so this bonus ain't factored....

So the only thing I can come up with is your gear.
You have a +9 item, I have +10 (Losing 1 to all saves)
You are probably missing +4 from Parrying (Found on my bracers)
You are probably missing +3 from Good Luck (Found on my Trinket)
You are probably missing +1 from Eldritch Resistance.
I know you want to boost your reflex even higher. These could help, and will boost all 3 at the same time.

On the other hand, any reason you want to reach the 90's?
Look nice on paper, but one of my other toons have 76 reflex with no fail on a 1, and never failed a save yet (havent ran 2 new raids on eE with him tho).
Also, I have no clue what is a healgolem you stated, but reading your stats, it sounds like a reinforced-concrete-wall healing bot. Am I mistaken?
If it's the truth, may I ask why use 3 feats for evoc focus? (you said you have esf:evoc). Coupled with 28 WIS, I fell like your totally waisting 3 feats, mostly on a build that doesn't have enough levels for implosion (and even if you had, Epic mobs would still die on a 1, regardless of those 3 feats). Your other (useful) evoc spells are no save anyway.
May i suggest the full mental toughness line instead? More SP to heal/nuke (if your build has some nuking ability, which I guess since you took light spell power) but mostly more crit chances, which is in fact the true reason to take this line. More damages + more chances to regen SP was an easy choice for me.

Personally, I found my build to be resistant enough as it is for eE, so I focussed more on offensive abilities.
Maybe because I pug a lot, but I've found it a lot more SP efficient to kill the mobs myself rather than to spam 3x more SP to heal people who doesn't have a third of my offensive ability.
I just don't like to think I'm a merc with (hopefully) better AI.

It'd be nice to have a real spell list and SLA list though because I think I'm missing some offense.

Sorry for the late answer, hopefully you haven't TR'd out of it yet.
This build IS great but it's not an heoric toon enhanced by some ED abilities.
It is a destiny enhanced by it's heoric abilities.
So until you get your destiny, it will be a pain, and you will have to turn yourself into an healing bot often.
Try to twist Avenging Light (T1), boulder (T1) and energy burst fire (T4) ASAP. Those will get the job done while you are leveling your other destinies

As for the spell list, it's quite easy.
3 personal buffs: fom + nightshield + GH
2 AoE buffs : Mass Deathward + Mass Prot from Evil.
+20 Spell Boots (human enhancement) + shoulder cannon.
Now you're ready to wing off and nuke !!! ;)

Don't waste time and SP for other buffs. (beside situational: mass ele prot in some content, bless if you get caught by bane...).
As an example, I often see divines casting stupid spells like mass shield of faith.
To tell the truth, that +5 AC won't matter in epic for 95% of the players (non-AC characters) and the remaining 5% shall already have higher than that on their gear.

As for offense, circle around those :
spells : searing light (quicken only, other meta are a waste on this 1, and by far the worst part of your arsenal)
SLA from destiny : Avenging Light, Renewal, Rebuke, Divine Wrath
Twists : Boulder + energy burst fire
Epic spells : Ruin + Hellball (max + emp + quicken)

Put all the meta you can get on SLA/twists, it's free !!!!!
Remember you can always right-click a spell from your hotbar to assign desired meta, without having to turn on and off 'stance' for when you want quicken, maximized or none.

Hey I'm currently running this setup for my current life, I intend to TR in and out of it a few times mainly so I can build up sun elf racial past life of +30 light spell power, but ultimately end up in this life. I was wondering what your thoughts were on the new ED changes.

With the changes to boulder toss, is it still worth twisting in and if not? If not what are your thoughts on a replacement.

Empyrean magic from divine crusader is a nice 20 light spell power and extra 10% spell crit chance, worth a slot maybe?

And with the addition of sun bolt as SLA at tier 6 and changes to reborn in light what are your thoughts on choice of ED ability? I'm having a hard time choosing between the two. Obviously sun bolt SLA is a nice solid ability, but reborn in light now has 10 minute cool down rather than 30 minutes, couple that with divine wrath no longer needing 10 stacks of ardor to cast I find myself deliberately letting myself die (when soloing or with guildies, I'd imagine pugs would get annoyed at it) then getting resurrect from reborn in light, and for next 2 minutes enjoying divine wrath with +100 extra spell power, half the spell point cost (just rewards makes this even sweeter) and a 4 second cool down. I'm honestly leaning more towards reborn in light, as strange as it is. Once again, wondering what your thoughts are on the matter, or if you just would still spend the EDP in a lower tier?

I'm having good fun with this build regardless, thanks for sharing!

Has the new ED changed your perspective on destiny you are going to run in or are you still running in EA?

Hellyzabeth

I haven't builded Divine Crusader yet (been working a lot more on my main) so I'll stick on EA for the comments.

If at first I was sceptical about the changes and how it would affect this build, I stood fidel to my habits and went out to test.
For sure, Boulder is a no-go now. (damages +/- 850, crit +/- 2k. Why it was critting if it's now a non-spell ability, god only knows).
And losing Renew was a hit. So I tought they kinda destroyed the build.
I played with the destiny changes a bit, tryed out few new twists, even the evil 3-spear from shadowdancer. But it ain't good on this build.

And.....

The result I got after few hours of play was even better than it was before. ;);););)
I'm still having Unheartly Reactions (tumble out of dangerous corners is amazing) and Burst.
My 3rd twist is now adjusted according to content:
Even if spore is OK for constructs (you don't have quite the repair spell power of arcanes on this build)
I now use wild shots even if I always hated the casting time...

.....Unless I face undeads !!!!!
I discovered yesterday that sigil of lifeshielding from the magister get it's damages boosted by my light spell power. And now I'm using it a lot (Deathwyrm anyone?)

As for the destiny itself, if at first it looked like a nerf, I'm blowing my way thru trash a lot quicker than before without loosing much on boss fight.
Points in 2-avenging light, 3-light SP, 3-pos SP, 3-10% SP, 3-soundburst, 3-blood n' rad, 2-rebuke, 1-wings, 2-wrath, 2-sunbolt.

I'm still using the cheesy searing light quickened to charge stacks quicker since sun bolt is 12 secs cooldown.
So far, sun bolt is +/- 1,1k non crit but with a reflex and 12 secs cooldown.
I may change it for reborn, I like the approach of V4sH369 above and will give it a try.

Soundburst at tier 3 is 6 SP full meta'd and 7 secs cooldown.
New tactic on trash :
Wing off to a trash group, soundburst (stun DC at 59 atm) and E burst.
Wing off to next group, soundburst, then wrath.
Wing off to next group, soundburst, full meta's hellball.
Rinse and repeat.
Between those, I kill remaining trash with sunbolt + avenging light + searing + wild shot.... bla bla bla. usual stuff.

On bosses : I figured that Wrath is bugged and kept a part that it shouldn't.
It still drains all your B n' R charges. So you have to cast it AFTER rebuke.
So the tactic is now :
Rebuke + DP + 10-secs-of-all-you-got-not-on-cooldown + rebuke + DP + Wrath + 10-secs-of-all-you-got-not-on-cooldown.
Rinse and repeat.

You'll have to adjust yourself with new Wrath 20 secs cooldown, mostly if you are healing your group at the same time.
The new mass cure SLA is 35 SP and 9 secs cooldown. You can have it quickened + emp heal + emp + maximized for some amazing heals (better than some ppl's mass heal).
But the cooldown and SP cost are wrong IMO for a divine destiny. Should've been a cure light at +/- 15 SP and 6 secs to make it a fair deal.
Agains a heavy hitter, between 20 secs cooldown wrath + 9 secs mass SLA, you will have to use your quickened and emp-heal mass cure (as spell), which will cost you nuking SP.
And without renew, I'm thinking about taking back scroll enahncements when I'm assigned to baby sit a tank.

So my opinion on the change :
For soloing, the renew lost is sad but you can easilly make up without.
In a party, you gained as a nuker, and lost as an healer.
On the other hand, I see more and more sentinel clerics. Make sure they are on tank's duty with their new renew, and nuke more yourself.
Oh btw, I'm now stealing aggro from tanks a lot easier than before. Be ready to use that diplo skill

The mass cure makes my healing even better. Im only really interested in being able to handle end game raids, and the new changes looks like a nice boost. I use divine wrath for healing now, cant believe I didn't find it earlier. I never really seem to even use heal anymore, everyone self heals

Can you get sunburst to crit btw? I saw none. I assume it should crit off radiance lore.

Edit: looks like I am getting some crits tonight, but not much. My avenging light crits for more than the sunbolt!

My avenging light crits for more than the sunbolt!

I haven't even checked if soundburst could crit. :p
With roughly 50 base damage, even if empowered + maximized, it's still useless in epic.
But when it lands a stun, I see massive improvements on my already high AoE nukes thanks to that 50% helpless xtra damages.
Now, if I was to make that on my main, i would definately twist sense weakness along energy burst.

As for avenging light, I get half damage for a quarter cooldown vs. sunbolt.
So avenging light is simply 2x better over time. (and even more on evasoin mobs.)
I am more and more thinking about making some good uses of reborn in light...

I'm curious how this build works in the new raids that basically have no shrine and endless respawns. In my last (failed) deathwrym raid, I had used all my mana (and over 100 heal scrolls) simply healing people, and most of my healing was simply using cocoon. Otherwise I'm healing with the cleric aura/burst and emeliorating strike.

You have to let them die. Its old school all over again :)

They will bring more survivable toons or toons with self healing. I dont join if there are multiple toons without evasion and self heal

I also dont heal until the dragon room, let people heal themselves in the mirrors. Also, hope for the tower fight, then don't rest and just drop down when you run out of mana and use the shrine on your way back up

In my last (failed) deathwrym raid, I had used all my mana (and over 100 heal scrolls) simply healing people, and most of my healing was simply using cocoon.

Remember what this build is: (in that order)
1. A nuker
2. A chest blesser
3. An healer
4. A gimp

You can definatelly play it as an healer anytime, but a pure healing bot with an aura will get the job done better. Mostly if your group is not self-suff and relying on your heals only.

As for myself, I only ran deathwyrm twice (both eH) with this toon (it's an alt for me). Used 2-3 pots, maybe 4 at worst. (that was before the destiny change, so I could renew myself for 3 pts). Gotta say both time I was with a pretty solid group and my job was to kite on the platform while the group was doing the bubble-portals. So my SP bar was only used to take care of myself, while playing with trash and killing red named ?necromancer? respawns. I'm not carrying heal scrolls or cocoon myself. But most of the time, when I kite in circles, a well placed divine wrath hits all tragets + myself and it's almost enough to never cast any other healing. I also ususaly put 1 BB (no-meta) where I kite. No meta = close to useless damages, but a bunch of trash running into it + shoulder cannon = a LOT of times 'just reward' kicks in from crits, thus SLA becomes even more cheaper.

As for thunderpeak, I ran twice too; first time as a tank baby-sitter (which should not cost a lot of SP unless you do it wrong) and the other time I was to grab aggro from the skinnier one and play with him. This 1 cost me a lot more pots, but it's only due to the fact I deceided I would take the skinny down quicker than the group would on fatty.

No plans yet, I'm waiting to see and test the final release (I was expecting all of them with U23 rather than a future patch).
If it's only a lost to saves, I may keep it as it is. +8 everywhere is still decent.
Depending on the overall result, there is still many options the most obvious being 1-2 cleric for more spell power.

I never updated the build, but I'm using different items and twists now than on the original post. TF weapon, lantern ring, cove boots, emperyan magic....
Since it's not my main character, I'm not planning to update the gear with the new Necro items, even tho there is a possibility to push the limits further.
But I changed the enhancements to include some more spell power from the Harper Agent tree.

If you're thinking of dropping monk for heavy armor, I'd suggest a 2+ wizard splash to pick up free maximize.

looking good, I've been thinking about doing something similar when i get back around to my final life fvs (currently farming some sorc past lives with a static group). I the same 16/2/2 split as you back in U21, but with the recent changes was looking at dropping the monk too. Does the loss of evasion hurt that much? Also I was wondering about a couple of choices, you've gone with 16/4 but only got +10% speed from it (and more saves if paladin divine grace changes are live yet, no idea though, haven't had paladin in a few lives, but with saves above 80, a couple more points are trivial really), which is fine if thats what you like, unless I'm missing something? I've been looking at 17 fvs 3 pld, which means you get a bit more spellcasting flexibility, and more importantly wings from fvs, which means you can save the points in EA and pick up Sunbolt or Shadows upon you. Thanks for updating this build though, it is a great one.

Does the loss of evasion hurt that much?
Not much. In some quest, I'd prefer to get hit by nothing trap wise (great reflex + evasion), but overall and including non-reflex damages sources, the PRR and MRR are really worth it. As for what can be reduced by reflexes, unless I roll a 1, I already take half damage. Add to it 50+ resists and almost 50% absorb of the leftovers with PRR/MRR. I do take some damages but I can easily live without evasion.

Also I was wondering about a couple of choices, you've gone with 16/4 but only got +10% speed from it
Correct. 4th paladin was at first for +6 con and the 10% speed. I spreaded the points elsewhere but kept the speed. I play very aggressively and like to zerg. So the 10% is more than welcome when wings are on timer. Also, if I face a large group of non-evade mobs, 10% speed is perfect for a BB-dance.

16/3 is basicaly what makes this build (12/3 is the base of it and 16 to keep more spell flexibility, as you pointed). I tryed many different classes combo. Personally, 16/4 is what i prefer and what works best with my play style, but that don't reject the other options which may become even better with different playing. I personally had no use for 1 more lvl 7 and 8 spell thus skiped the 17 FvS idea.
I wouldn't drop EA wings either, but again, this is according to my playstyle. You won't be able to get sunbolt anyway unless you take out wrath or reborn. As for Shadow upon you, trash dies quick enough to have it be stacked to a useful amount. On a boss fight maybe, so it would save a little less for half damage on a wrath, but most other attacks are no-save already. Moreover, you'd have to cut somewhere else as well to free a second point in the destiny.

Thanks for your comments, glad to see some people still have interest in this build!!

How do you get over 600 light spellpower? Is this number somehow with max/emp or without. If without please help me get there.

It's without, since they don't show up on character screen.
Thus the real amount is 664 + 75 + 150 where applicable.
Take note that 664 is temporary, and I know people that reached over 750 with cleric/fvs splits.

Let me try to give a breakdown:
Currently upon login I have 419, which includes gear (144 on ring, 10 on orb, blue dragon set...), enhancements (AoV, Harper, Trad. Caster in Human, Righteous wpn + cores in Warpriest...) destiny static points (radiant power) and skills (spellcraft at 80).

Add pseudo-permanent bonusses : Scourge +30, Blood and Radiance +30, Emperyan Magic +20. = 499
Add half-permanent (depending on your wealth) : Pots of greater brillance (sold in house P) +20, pots of Spellpower (Comms turn ins) +25. = 544
Add temp. buffs: Human spell power boost +20, Reborn in Light +100 = 664.

Now, to reach even higher:
If I was sunelf, I could take out 20 temporary (boost) and 10 permanent (trad caster) and replace by 30 permanent (enhancements).
I could also add 30 with 3x sun elf past lifes (maybe once I'll be done with my main getting close to it's target of 87 Past Lives).
Pots of superior brillance exist in Eveningstar, but they implies farming challenges for 5 extra power. I'm not that crazy.
A tome of spellcraft could add +/- 5 more.
3x Arcane PL (enchant weapon) for 9 more (altho if I was to make epic compl. I'd go with energy critical for lovely burst and hellballs)
Yugo pots (+1), Store pots(+1), Arti PL(+1 per life) and Completionist(+3) could also add a tiny bit more.

Hope this helps you.

Sorry for the late reply.
Damage sources are: Avenging Light (SLA-3 secs cooldown), Searing Light (Unmeta'ed-3 secs), Energy Burst (SLA-30 secs), Divine Wrath (SLA-20 Secs), Epic Ruin (All Meta-15 secs), Hellball (All Meta-6 secs).
I also sometimes use Blade Barrier (All Meta) and very occasionaly use Divine Punishement (All Meta).

I personally prefer the boost and safety granted by Reborn in Light, but you could also consideer Sun Bolt instead from Exalted Angel (Can't have both + Divine Wrath).

Also, since you pointed out that you were curious about trash, remember to use that Soundburst SLA (7 secs). You will see a dramatic increase in DPS against mobs that aren't immune.

And what about keeping the positive spells which gives light sp stacks up? It seems divine wrath in solo won't keep it always up, maybe in raids yes but normally playing it seems not. Actually imma using a cure light wands spell when i need to keep it up. But is it for you a of mana? Cause if i am soloing even spawn screen seem a waste of mana (15 instead of clw which is 6)

To be honest, I never really bothered about that little extra light SP from blood and radiance, beside when I had points in excoriate (before they add soundburst), for the low stun chances. I still put 3 points in there since it sometimes boost my SP in raids by a margin, but with 650+ almost-permanent spell power (counting empower and maximized), that 0-30 more ain't much.
The only time I really bothered about maximizing those 10 stacks were for the screen shot you seen on first post.
If you have an odd score in charisma, you'll be better off with 1 point in B&R and +1 cha.
I also sometimes put those 2 points in Judgment depending on contend. It IS a fun thing.....

I just finished my first life FvS and saw your build on the forums. I wanted to try a Charisma focused build.
My questions are:

1. Is this build still working up through U28? Have you updated it since U23?

2. I got a bit confused on your post. Did Ghostriker end up as a 16/4 FvS/Pally or as one of your Alt's with monk ?

3. What was your leveling order? Did you take the 4 levels of Paladin first and then finish out with FvS levels? I started it last night using the 16/4 version of your U23 update. I took the 4 pally levels first and am now at level 4. I have an LR heart I can use, if you suggest a different leveling order.

4. Did you list the order you took feats anywhere ?

5.. Can you show your spell list.

I am looking forward to trying this build on my 2nd life FvS.
Thanks for making the build available.

I haven't checked this post in a while.

1. Yes it does.
2. 16/4 was the last split before I began a TR train with this toon. (about U26)
3. 4. 5. See Below. On a special note, you're talking about a lesser heart you could use. Totally up to you, but if it's a life you'll play a bit then TR, 4 pal first then 16 fvs works fine and I wouldn't spend an heart to change the order. But it's your decision, only you know your wealth.

So I stop playing light nuker on Ghost around U26, and began to TR her a bit (always had only 2 bard and 1 fvs PL, no Epic nor Iconic). But as of U28, my main had to go through her last Heroic PL which was FvS and I revamped this build a bit, gaining more light power/crit, while loosing 3 all saves (3 Paladin rather than 4). This one is a bit less party oriented (rez throught scrolls while only having raise dead as spell, no mass DW but having the single target version) in favor of a bit more DPS. Here's the exact progression used:

To update this to U29 and to 34 pts build, either drop Int to 10 and skip jump skill; or Con to 16 and place wherever you want.
With the recent changes to heavy armor bonus to PRR/MRR, going back to the 16/2/2 is still a good option. You gain evasion for the trade of the Paladin stance.
I personally still prefer the 3 Paladin.
U29 added many new epic feats, and probably you would swap Epic Toughness at 24 for Intensify Spells
I wouldn't chose Master of Light with this split. I would on a pure or almost pure FvS.
ED feat at 29: Arcane Pulse. (3 arcane PL).
If you don't feel like reaching max XP on all 3 arcane destinies, 3 maxed divine will still allow Spirit Blades. Not a bad choice, altho more suited to Shiradi caster I believe.
Feat at 30: Greater Ruin.
Legendary Feat: Without a doubt, Master of Fire. Perfect for this build.

I'll be happy to help you out with any other questions !!!!

Hellyzabeth - Thanks for the reply. I started my version of your build with my toon Flavasoul. I am a second life FvS on your build. I hadn't heard from you so I began with 4 Paladin levels, and then FvS. I am 4Pally/2FvS right now. I have a +5 heart, from the recent Turbine gift, so I can LR him into the version you just now posted but being only a 2 life FvS is that the best course of action ? I was thinking of doing my second life as your 16/4 version and then on the third life trying the 13/4/3 FvS/Cleric/Paladin.

More questions:

1. You said you stopped being a light nuker at U26. Would the 16/4 version still be a light nuker ?
2. What Epic past life feat did you take from the Divine Sphere ? I took Brace on my first life.
3. The build starts with WIS 8. Isn't WIS the stat that boosts Blade Barrier. With low wisdom, why did you take BB as your level 6 spell. Wouldn't Cometfall be better ?

As stated above, I wouldn't spend your +5 HoW to LR on your current build. Keep it in bank, this will prove to be more useful someday elsewhere because 16/4 is a good split.
Even more, this character ain't too great until you're in epic, using Exalted Angel, so 4 Pal levels and being melee focussed earlier in game will help. Once you get blade barrier, even with low Wis, leveling will begins to be more fun.

As for your questions:
1. Yes. And I stoped not because it is not good, but because I deceided to enter a TR mode with this character. It will probably be a light nuker again once done TR'ing.

2. I have no Epic Divine PL yet. But I would certainly get Brace first. If I go Epic completionist, I will get: Energy Critical, Fortification, Brace and Color of Queen; with 3x morninglord Iconic too.

3. You are right, BB DC is boosted by Wisdom score, as well as all 3 evocation feats, all 3 sorcerer PL, 1 active wizard PL, completionist... among others, that sadly, I couln't afford. This is why I prefer BB over Comet. Both will end up with a pathetic DC in epics, whatever you will do. Both are refelx DC and both are boosted by the same spell power. 1 is instant and 1 is over time. 1 is more used on static targets, like archers, that usualy tend to have high reflexes / evasion. The other is more commonly used agains melee packs that usualy have higher fort and lower refexes (and less often evasion).
Damage on 1 hit are pretty similar but BB has the possibility to strike many times the same target. Keep in mind that I only use BB on specific occasions (Large packs of melee mobs) because Divine Wrath, Energy Burst and Hellball are all still better than BB. The DC of your BB or Cometfall will be so low that it is useless vs. anything with Evasion. But still, a well placed BB, even if the monster constantly makes the reflex save for half damage, will still cause incredible amounts of damages over 30 seconds. Don't have the monsters run through it, instead dance around with them. A large group of mobs chasing you in circles, on the edge of a Blade Barrier, ends up in an impressive amounts of hits/seconds... even at half damages (often times 2 due to high physical crit ratio). This tactic works good against light/fire immune/resistants. As stated before, I only use this from time to time. Soundburst + AoE will regulary blow up large packs anyway.
Finally, if you prefer cometfall playstyle, there is no reason to take BB; go for comet !!!
Harm is another great option too, if you have a PM buddy with who you often play.
Greater dispell magic is really nice in quests with a lot of spell wards.

What do you mean when you say "TR mode" ? Does that mean you are going to do multiple Heroic TR's to get Completionist ?
Also, when you decide to do Epics lives, do you think Morninglord will be a good fit ?

Thank you .

1. My main toon reached the Uber-completionist status (all 90 past lives feats). So I needed a new challenge. I will attempt to have enough patience, now that epic/iconic TR is at level 30, to make a second uber with Ghostriker.
2. Morninglord is the best iconic past live you can get on a light nuker. It is also pretty solid as final life race. But getting the +30 light spell power cost a lot in term of enhancements points. That's why I personally prefer Human or PDK. 1 more feat, 1 more skill/level and +20 spell power on demand, for only 1 point.

I am going to change over to your build you posted in Post #45 above. I have been away for a while and my FvS was still at level 7, so I will start him over.
Right now I am 4 Paladin and 3 FvS. I am still confused on how to start a toon over. To get to level 7 on your latest build I would be 6 FvS and 1 Paladin. What kind of a Heart of Wood do I need to use?

Did the gear change from the original build? Are you still using longsword and orb like your 4Paly - 16FvS version, for your U29 version ?

Are you still a light nuker ? I don't see searing light or any of the Divine Disciple SLA's. I remember your original post where you used Searing Light and DP as your main DPS, and then SLA's: Avenging Light, Divine Wrath, Energy Burst, and Rebuke.

You would need a +3 lesser heart of wood to be able to get to 6/1 (changing 3 levels of paladin for 3 fvs). But, you could also only use a +1 heart of wood, which is cheaper. Then you would be 3 pal and 4 fvs. You can still follow the progression, just that your class won't be taken at the same levels, and you need to adjust the skill you choose at these levels accordingly.
If you still plan to get to 6/1 and follow the exact progression, remember that the paladin level is taken at level 2. So, if your current build was taking a fvs at level 2, this will also cost you a class change. So you now need a heart of wood +5 which cost even more.
I would suggest to stick to the +1 option. Getting 3 paladin at lower levels won't break the build. You will need to invest in some skills as cross-class (paying a point to get .5) but in the end, it's not a big issue. On a brighter side, 3 paladin early will definately help leveling at lower lvls, as a melee.

How does it work: Get a heart of wood, and head to the hall of heroes. Talk with the NPC in reincarnation groove and follow the lesser reincarnation tab. In the end, you will be required to enter your character's name and the NPC will 'eat' your heart. You are now flagged for reincarnation.
Exit back to character selection.
Click the reincarnation icon next to your character, and recreate it from scratch.
The engine will still 'remember' your previous classes, thus each time you select a class that isn't the same as what you choosed in previous life, it will cost you a +1 from your heart.
i.e.: your progression was : Pal-Pal-Pal-Pal-FvS-FvS-FvS. You want to take a FvS instead at level 3, this will cost you 1 and the new progression would be Pal-Pal-FvS-Pal-FvS-FvS-FvS.
Now if you would like to swap 3 Pal to follow the build in post #45 (FvS-Pal-FvS-FvS-FvS-FvS-FvS), you need to change the levels 1-3-4 into FvS (3 levels = +3 heart of wood).
But as stated above, IF you had a FvS class taken at level, lets say your progression was : Pal-FvS-Pal-FvS-Pal-FvS-Pal, to follow the post #45, you then need to change class at level 1,2,3,5,7, thus a +5 Heart of Wood is required.
By doing a lesser reincarnation is similar to a new life, you are free to reallocate your points, skills and feats and you don't lose any progress (flags, favor.....)
In the end you will be back at level 7 but with some classes changed, based on the heart used.

The gear in U29 was roughly similar, but lower-end gear as it was only a PL and TR'ed as I capped.
This old gear setup will still work wonder, and I would still be using an Orb. Probably the Golden Orb or Death for better crits.
I would drop the necklace (Eidolon) as I came to the point that I hate the spawned shadow and its random monster aggro.
Anyway, I'm sure you can come up with a very solid setup involving new gear (Heavy Sage armor from hox/tempest would be a great option, as well as the new helm in Memoirs of an Illusory Larcener).

Not a light nuker for the moment. This toon is going through many TR atm, aiming to get them all. Sitting at 59/93 as of today.
Yes on a 13/3/4 split, get the Searing Light SLA from Disciple, but skip the T4 SLA (well I don't like it, but if you do, go ahead).
Clarification: Searing and DP were secondary and I used Avenging Light, Divine Wrath and Energy Burst as main source of DPS (ruin and hellball too, when you can spare some spell points).
Searing used as a SLA should become part of your main DPS rotation.
DP is bad, terribly bad for the SP consumed. It's the cherry on the cake on a boss when you can spare some SP.
If I recall, 3 stack of max-emp-intens DP will deal similar amount of damage per hit as a single Avenging Light with the same metas.
One will cost somewhere around 70 SP every 10 secs, and the other 3 SP every 3 secs.
So at the same SP consumed, Avenging is 7x better. (21x if DP isn't stacked)
And if I recall wrong, even if DP deals twice as much damage, Avenging is still 3,5x better.

hope this helps.

Thanks Hellyzabeth - I got the heart of wood and did my LR. I am going to still follow your 13/4/3 split. I only have one heroic PL (FvS) but plan to do this toon a few times. He will always be a FvS in some form.
I think I see this build really coming into its own until Epics, but was wondering how to get through heroics and help my parties with some DPS, and not just heals and buffs.

I don't get Searing Light SLA from DD until level 19, as I see it, because I don't take the third cleric level until 19 to get Tier 3 enhancements. I can use Searing Light, with META's at FvS lvl 6.
I don't get Blade Barrier ( level 6 spell) until FvS lvl 12. DP not until FvS lvl 10.
What other means of DPS are available to this build besides longsword damage, during heroic leveling

Thanks for all your help with this. I am working hard to get through heroics, and anxious to see his DPS output in Epics.

I'm afraid you will not like my answer.
If this build is fun to play in epics, it is terrible before 20.
Blade Barrier is your best arsenal in Heroic, running mobs in circle on the edge of it (even if your DC is low it will still do good, you may need other means for evasive trash).
Until you get BB, invest a bit warpriest but mostly Paladin Knight of the Chalice.
Vanguard is often overlooked and yield good DPS with the stuns and speed. So S&B may be a great option.
Since you're high on charisma, make sure to get Divine Might for your melee time.
