I really like dual-wielding Paladins, especially if they're broadly self-sufficient and useful in a variety of situations (who doesn't?), but I've been convinced Paladins are sub-standard dps. The Noyellowbar build, especially the rogue-splash version, looks terrific and I'll probably build one down the road, but I really want to play another paladin.

So I gave it some thought, and decided the best way to get a Paladin to do good dps was to include as little Paladin as possible (while still keeping it a Paladin). Since I intended to splash Rogue anyway for trapping, I decided that'd be the direction to go to find more dps. Someone in another thread mentioned (Ubongwah, perhaps) the idea of a dagger-wielding Paladin so I decided I'd take the ball and run with it. The current result is: Holycutpurse, an extremely Rogue-y Paladin (7 Paladin/7 Rogue/6 Ranger).

The centerpiece of the plan is for him to pick up Knife Specialization (presumably with Kukris) which, during the 1/3 or so of his attacks for which Divine Sac is up, will give him roughly a 14-20/x4 Crit range. Then he's got solid but not excellent trapping skills, +10d6 SA damage, and good ranged. I'll put the full build below.

A lot of the pieces are together, but I feel like I may be trying to do too much and things aren't as neatly tied together as they should be. Since he only gets CLW, healing will presumably be scroll-driven (which kinda sucks) so does he really need Empowered Healing? If he's going to get Impr Precise Shot and Combat Archer, shouldn't he really put more than 6 points into AA? I'm conflicted. Any input is welcome.

I think you are trying to do too many things. 7 levels of Paladin is not that great IMO. If you want to primarily be a TWF Paladin then you should go with at least 15 levels so you pick up zeal and cure serious wounds. Your lay on hands should be fairly good as well, so your self healing is pretty good. Then add in your splash from there.

My view is if you're not going for at least pal lvl 14 (Zeal), you should stop at lvl 6 or earlier (unless you're doing it for a pally PL). The lvl 2 & 3 pally spells are all pretty blah, as are the lvl 12 core enhs. My dagger pally idea was rog 5 / pal 14 / ftr 1 or rog 5 / pal 15, depending on whether you'd rather have extra feat + extra action boost or 2nd lvl 4 spell (CSW or DW).
