View Full Version : Sorcerer of the Brine

I am playing through Three Barrel Cove for the first time and I came across the Brine SHaman Staff. It got me to thinking about if it was feasible to run a Sorcerer that is deeply specced into both Water savant and Air savant. I tried it out on the character generator and it doesnt really seem like doing both hurts the build to much but I am curious to hear what you guys think as I have never made a sorcerer before.

Most of the build seems fine, but you are missing heighten metamagic, which if you plan to later on play in draconic is a huge loss. Also dont think you Need the spell penetration feats, unless you are going for insta kills - it will work on sorc until 20, but for eh or ee without past lifes? - forget it. You could also sacrificce a bit dex and int to get max possible cha as it is your casting stat, +2 int tome at lvl 7 will still leave you with enough skill points to play around with.

drows start at 10 dex, he couldn't drop it even if he wanted to. I agree with the spell pen part though... On a sorc it's almost always preferable to just drop a nuke.

I did grab spell pen and greater spell pen at level 7 and 9 I believe? Also should I switch maximize with toughness or drop toughness entirely in exchange for Heighten spell?
