I sent the following message as a PM to someone I saw post in the fighter board, and they mentioned using a build like this but I couldnt find any specifics. What I am wanting to do is at level 1 go rogue, then go ranger at level 2 and then cleric at 3 and then for 2 levels after that go ranger and then cleric for one level and alternate between those two until level 20 and I will end up with 1ROG/7CLR/12RNG with TWF and Ameliorating Strike. Can anyone post a viable build with this in mind? Thanks!

PM that was sent:
Do you have any input on going RNG/CLR?ROG? I am following some of the advice here in this thread: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/426765-Kensei-Warpriest-for-new-players-%28Human-12-8-Fighter-Cleric%29/page6. You mentioned going Ranger/Cleric/Wiz for the TWF feats and manyshot. I mixed it up a bit and went Ranger/Cleric/Rogue. I took rogue first then ranger and then cleric and from that point on every 2 levels ill do cleric and then 2 ranger and then 1 cleric and 2 ranger, so on and so forth until I get 12 RNG/7 CLR/1 ROG. I figured this would be good for many reasons, UMD and rogue bonuses additional with the cleric bonuses. What I am confused about is which enhancements do I go with and what about skills like spot, search, and UMD? Do I need to even put points into UMD if I am taking rogue? Any input or help would be great. Also when do I get Ameliorating Strike? I know it has a good synergy with TWF so that would be good to know also. I just dont wanna mess up my build. I am a free player also, for now, until I can put money into my account and sub or buy some packs. Thanks in advance!!!

The only reason to do 1 rogue is for umd and trapping. So keep that in mind. Also, what kind of weapons are you wanting to use/ Clerics can get bonuses for a variety of them, but if you want to maximize your rogue level, you would limit yourself to daggers and kukri's because a tier 1 core ability allows you to use dex to hit with them; freeing up one stat at least for hitting. If you did 2 rogue, you could get damage from there as well.

I LRed my wizard into a Ra12/C7/F1 to get another ranger life and because I couldn't take monk levels (NN alignment), which is similar to what you're planing. In your case, you should take Rogue at 1st and maybe put a bit more int to get all the skills you need. You would also loose a fighter feat, so you would have to decide what to drop (probably the dragonmark -- I took for a handy DD), and would need to take haste boost from tempest.

Here is how it looks like in my case (all level up go in Str but only 23 Str is needed for OC ; with better tomes, you may include Combat archery with 21 Dex -- also note that the level order is not optimal, but was necessary to implement with the LR+20):

with 12 ranger, that 1 rogue level would be just for trapping. rangers already get good amount of skill points, but I would assume some additional points in Int would be invested for good trapping skills.

7 cleric with 12 ranger levels is odd to me. not sure where the benefit would be for that. I would just assume do another class and go helf. take cleric dilly and be at 95% heal scrolls at level 11.

never seen a build like this before. I wonder what the purpose or the goal behind it is.

I took 7 cleric levels for ameliorating strike (4 levels needed) and to get FoM and CCW (I could have gotten the 1st with 14 ranger levels, but I would have had less SP and no CCW).

Title says it all. For more info please see this post: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/426765-Kensei-Warpriest-for-new-players-%28Human-12-8-Fighter-Cleric%29/page6

because of what this guy said:
Going ranger is great if you want a meaningful range option, aka: manyshot! Not only do you get all the feat for free (you get the TWF line also as a bonus), you can forget about requirements...
Split wise: rgr12/cle7/wiz1 is also good, gives you a metafeat for free (quicken?), more SP, also open the eldritch knight tree...
One last thing, on a ranger variant, i'll go half-elf and snag the pally dilettante for saves (really the only major flaw of the OP build)

Ellis's build is really all about ease of use and efficiency, that's why it works so good, lots of synergy between the classes and the THF line.
I'm leveling one now, level 15... Ameliorating Strike is awesome! Get it, use it, love it!

Plus the OP's vision on page 1. Incorporating this build above with the OP's build but instead taking ranger instead of fighter makes it way more effective imho, thats why I want to try it. I am very excited! And thanks to all who has responded, I really appreciate it!!!

Edit: I eventually settled on this build at https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/431930-Adventures-in-Theorycrafting-Tempest-Warpriests/page2 post number 26 by MNA:
Sort of continuing from elsewhere, I'm planning what to do with my Wayfinder favor-farmer toon. It's a lot less than optimal now, I'd prefer to get something better with the +20 LR.
Parameters are then, Dwarf Male, True Neutral, level 7. Has eaten a +1 Int tome (dice) and a +2 Dex tome (birthday box), and I figure I can rely on getting the 1750 favor tome before taking level 24 at the latest. F2p classes only, too.

It being Wayfinder, LFMs and potential groups are few, and the AH doesn't have much gear. So, has to be prepared for soloing, and can't rely on random-loot gear much -> critical skills need to be maxed.

I want at least Evasion, enough self-healing and DPS to be able to complete stuff on Elite, and preferably traps and at least some locks. UMD would be very useful too (almost essential for a trapper, for Greater Heroism scrolls and such). Improved Evasion much appreciated.

So, what does this look like?

Quicken is mostly for Cocoon. (I figure, start EDs in Shiradi ->3, switch to Primal for Cocoon, Shiradi ->4, LD ->3, Shadowdancer for Technician, and ...?)

I don't have the packs to get Deneith favor high enough to buy sturdy arrows, and Pinion eats a lot of those while on Manyshot. So, Conjure Arrows for that. (Figure that's about the thing to get from the raider box.) Oh, and Silver Flame too, for the option to rearrange the Warpriest tree for up to +5 into longbows. (Not that Unyielding Sovereignty wouldn't be useful to have...)

Point Blank Shot isn't all that essential, I suppose.

I'd sort of prefer more rogue levels for max Open Lock too, but... not sure... this thing can potentially hit insane numbers for Ameliorating Strike, what with the T5 Tempest abilities enabling multi-hit for TWF?

Only difference is I went elf instead and went 16STR/16DEX/12COn/14INT/8WIS/8CHA. (Yeah I know about the low wis, ive got that sorted out already). And I am making sure I get those 7 cleric levels the one rogue level and the 12 ranger levels all with the trappings of AS, Manyshot, and the level 4 cleric spells + the immunities that fall into that.

I will most likely be going scimmys for the cleric feat. I will post my final build via character gen in a bit!
