I know Brenna is currently away from the game due real life issues (get well buddy!) but what happened with the guy that made the Redux or the "Part troi" ?

i miss posting in there my rogue'ish achievements :( ... and reading other people's ^^

is this cross-server guild really disbanded? I refuse to accept et!

Well, I created R.O.G.U.E. (and the redux version when the thread got too long), though I have the greatest respect for Brenna and the Notes from a Dancing Rogue. When I took a long hiatus a while back, I left the job open for any takers. Katz (Pickt d'Locks) took it over and kept it going... I have no idea if he/she is still maintaining it or not. I've since come back to DDO, but I don't have the time to dedicate to keeping the R.O.G.U.E. proving grounds running.

The difficulty is that the game is changing so rapidly these days, that it is very difficult to rework the list to take into account new rules and content. When I first started R.O.G.U.E., the game hadn't had any significant updates for nearly a year. That left us with a lot of time to play with things like stealth runs, assassinate missions, etc. Now that there is SO much content to play with, it seems like the proving grounds are less needed than before. That said, I do love checking the Part Trois thread to see what you (and others) are posting, whether or not it is a listed challenge or not. Rogues rule!

edit and p.s.: It seriously doesn't help that all of the links created for the old forums no longer work... and the new forum setup blows goats. It's very hard for new players to find things like the proving grounds (and without new players, the thread will die). It kinda ruined a lot of the hard work that many of us put forth.

People need to post in it for it to live. People just suddenly stopped posting.

I occasionally felt like making a new thread, however the forum change has seemed to have driven everyone away from the forums: especially the subforums. I just don't think it would be very popular.

I mean look how slow the Rogue subforum is moving.

i think that about the popularity of the forum could be fixed with some "publicity". Say, you encounter another fellow playing rogue builds then you tell him about the R.O.G.U.E. and encourage him to explore a little different way of playing a rogue... it was only because i read the "Firedancer" challenge in here that i dared to atempt an elite-at level ETK solo.

Also, the game has changed a lot and thats for sure, but theres life before level 20 too :D the low level deeds are fun to try and usually dont take that long time to do :P im just think we could come up with new challenges to keep the R.O.G.U.E. alive and well... something like, giving this cross server guild its 4rth true reincarnation :D

i heard theres a way to see the old forums but ive no idea how to :P

so, what do u say, are just doping R.O.G.U.E. ' s soulstone in the lava, near a shrine, or are we using a True Resurrection scroll in her, cause we have ubber umd skillz? :D

I think that, yeah, R.O.G.U.E. could be resurrected, but I think it would be better to just have it as a thread where people post their achievements and share tactics/builds or something. Not have the OP lay out some challenges (which will be obsolete within a year) and everyone just does them.
