View Full Version : merge savants in sorc enhancement lines

I tried some sorc builds on lamaland and the sorc trees are bugged at best.

For instance air locks out earth but earth does not lock out air, nor do fire and water lock eachother out. I feel this is a bug and I reported it.

my take on this to fix the sorc enhancments is:

merge the savant trees, and make us pick one element to empower(opposite will be depowered) at tree unlock (first core you choose your element, locking out the others)
add acolyte of the skin for the 2nd tree.
then there needs to be a 3th, (all classes should have three trees to pick from).
I'dd say "dragon blood sorc" (D&D 3.5)

So we end up with 3 sorc enhancment lines: Savant(air/earth/fire/water), Acolyte(force?), and Dragon Blood (or another).

then there is the issue of secondary SP enhancements. Since it became clear to me that generic class trees wont happen I revised my idea a bit.
give us generic trees linked to our classgroup (caster/melee/specialist) in the generic caster tree you can put all the secondary SP enhancements based on total points spend. (no cores except for the first which is needed to ulock the tree)

Give me your thoughts on this

It does mean you could only empower 1 instead of 2 lines, but overall your solution is cleaner than Turbine's.

It's also quite feasible to do, its not that different than the way you pick an element to work on for the different ED elemental bursts/shields/SP boosts in the Draconic ED.

It's a bad sign when you start talking about yourself in the 3rd person.
