View Full Version : Monk Monk TR - Pure or multi-class

Hello all,

I plan on TRing my rogue into a monk (2nd life). I wanted to hear what people's opinions are on pure monk versus some sort of multiclass (i.e. 12/7/1 monk/rogue/fighter or 12/8 Monk/fighter). I don't think I'll stay long at cap, so optimization for lvl 25 play is not a requirement.

Some information:
1) I solo a fair bit and run short-man/BYOH a lot.
2) Have access to Cannith crafting and Cannith Challenge gear, but not much leveling raid gear.


I'm pretty set on Half-elf with Cleric Dillie for self-heals, especially since I don't want to make a GS CHA skills item.

If its just for a tr, I would maybe splash 1 ranger for sprint boost. Run in sun/fire stance and spam touch of death and stunning fist. go wis based so you can stun with dps wraps, it ends up more dps than going str based and using stunning wraps in heroic.

I've done lives as fighter with a deep monk splash (9 levels), did the same with paladin, ranger rogue. Pure monk is stronger imo, since non monk levels lowers your ToD DC, your AC, and the dice of your fists.
