They were asked about this on Lamm when they were online.

Short Answer: Not going to happen.

I agree to allowing everyone to take perform, but as a cross-class skill if it is such in PnP.

The only reason it was made bard-only is to protect the newbies from taking a skill that was 100% useless to every other class (more so than swim, as non-bards can't perform).

That has passed, and now that wiz/sorcs might want to take it, they should at the cross-class level (if it's cross classed in PnP, I don't remember if it is).

Instead of the OPs suggestion, make it so that Spellcraft applies sonic spellpower, but that spellpower doesn't stack with the spellpower granted by Perform.

Non Bards Can't perform if they don't have the bard epic destiny

Anyway sonic line is not so important for wiz and sorc, but adding non stacking sonic spellpower to the new skill it seems fine

Heal... wiz and sorc need heal? For what? (sorry my ignorance)

My Bard needs it, a lot more of spellcraft, i hope that they give us heal for bards.

Heal gives negative spellpower aswell, not only positive (dont ask me why).

Not signed for Perform - at least not as class skill. The damage is anyways secondary thing there, stun is the desired effect, and that will work still.

As for heal, I do not know. I guess Wizards and Sorcs should NOT have access to Heal, however at the sime time I think the Negative spell power is there for no apparent reason. Then, I do not know where I would put it in this system...

More realistically, make Spellcraft a class skill for sorcs (it has been reported that it is not currently)

Heal skill has been available for any class to train, some as a Class skill (1:1) and some as a cross class skill (2:1)

As far as Heal also being the negative as well as positive is in the same vein as Repair being both repair and rust. Usually when you study one half such as positive you learn of its opposite which is negative. Today in RL research spends a lot of time learning about a virus, illness or condition so that they can learn to cure it effectively.

For Skill based Spell Power with No investment and assuming an 8 for the base Attribute (or -1 to Skill) level 25 character.

01 +2 Tome
04 Greater Heroism
02 Luck Bonus
05 Epic Skill Bonus
03 +6 Attribute Item
-1 For Starting at 8
==
+14 since your starting at a -1

Additional bonuses
01 Upgrade +6 Item to +8 Item
01 Use of +2 Insight
01 Use of +3 Insight and +1 Exceptional
15 Skill Item
06 Exceptional Skill Item
01 Profane Skill Bonus
==
25

Total is now 39 Spell Power potential without an investment.

For Cross Class skills that will be a loss of 11 potential Spell Power
For Class skills that will be a loss of 23 potential Spell Power

Now it has been argued in the past that the 20 Spell Power bonus from the Sorcerer Capstone was not necessarily worth the investment as it actually worked out to be a small improvement overall.

Perform is the only skill with these changes where that does not work out and this is because of the "Must Train" requirement. But I agree with another poster that pointed out that the Stun was by far the most important part of sonic spells, damage is mainly secondary.

Making it cross class would be perfectly valid for non-bards. The damage being secondary is not the same thing as only one class HAVING ACCESS to any skill-based spellpower for Sonic casting.

This is not the difference between half or full or no sonic spellpower. This is the difference between full or none. Don't skill boost items only work with perform if you have the base skill? So you can't even make up some of the difference with a +perform item.
