hi all. im trying to play ddo with a couple friends and we started once all with custom characters (made by me as i have experience with making custom characters) and got to stormreach and realized that some of us couldn't do solo quests easily. so i am asking this question. what characters should we use for a good party that could hold their own solo? common sense dictates that we need a rouge and a cleric or other healer. two out of the three of us are on strict free content but one of us has the half blood bundle with both half elf half orc and 32 point build. another factor to put in is one of the people with strict free understands the game but cannot be a healer as he doesnt pay attention to our health. that is the long version. i hope you guys can help me out here. as a sum up of us. also we dont need specifics just what class and race. THANKS :D

"bubbles": free content. understands everything except making a custom character
"wasteland": free content. perfers melee combat and doesnt pay attention to health.
"puma" half pack and 32 point build. perfers custom characters. understands everything. could be considered adept

Well...

Wasteland should go Barb...probably Dwarf since he seems kinda likely to need the extra HP and resistances.
or
Make him pay attention to HIS HP...and have him go Human Paladin...Lay on Hands is a nice get out of jail free card at low levels.
Also giving him movement speed and SPrint boost may be asking for trouble...Paladin can help inherently keep him alive.

Puma should consider something that can do a bit of everything. I was thinking Exploiter Ranger (18Ranger/1MNK/1ROG Human). He can help heal the others also. Though a Dwarf or Human Clonk would be nice for him also...fun and Dynamic.

Bubbles should play a Bard/ROG mutt build for your groups trapping needs.
Look into a 15BRD/3ROG/2FTR build

My choices: 18 wizard/ 2 rogue PaleMaster- CC focused, 18 cleric/ 2 rogue Clogue- healer w/ trapper skill ( can be tough to pull off so the more experienced guy should do this ), and last would be some kind of melee build- there are so many out there its up to you.
