Please make the short side-quests in the Threnal area grant some favor. 1/2/3/4 would be fine--but something. I think they are the only quests in the game that grant 0 favor.

Not a bad idea, i you dont mind i will add:
+ triple xp from every questi here.
+ shorten assault lenght hold for reninforcments to 10 min
+ buff Coyle, give him heavy armor (or leveles of monks) and learn him shield blocking :-P

It would even be ok if it resulted in a modest price increase for the pack.

In addition, make it epic and enact a change for epic. The Xoriat Wizard (avoided spoiler just in case =) ) makes it through the gate (doesn't join the club so to speak) and there can be additional quests through the portal and possibly a raid where you take down the xoriat wizard who has made his bargain.

Oh, and change the quest advance mechanic so 2 out of 6 players in your PuG don't drop group for the third part because they somehow screwed up the chain advancement.

This is truly one of the most frustrating chains and one I dread to run.

I can't think of the last time I stepped into the side quests mostly because by the time I've dealt with Coyle's sorry behind i just wanna run for the hills and thank the gods I am done with it.

If there was favor I would run them for that reason alone.

Otherwise - not a chance.

Hold for reinforcements needs a big XP boost, 10 - 60xp per minute is just adding lemon juice to a shrapnel wound.
The 10 xp per minute quests need a big boost to their xp.

For example:

Threnal part 3 : Hold for Reinforcements Base XP 448 to 855 for casual through elite respectively. Quest completion time 15 minutes ( if you succeed on first run )

The timer is for 15 minutes and it is often failed repeatedly by new player making the actual completion time more like 30 - 45 minutes. Add to this the run to quest, pick up chain and the frequent chain reset that is experienced by new players ( meaning that at the end of Threnal East and West it is easy to reset the chain by accident requiring completing all 3 again ) That yields about 10 - 60 xp per minute. And the 60 xp per minute is only if you succeed the first time through on elite and don't count the time running to quest, picking up quest or repeating the chain due to the buggy advance to Threnal South or oop "I just reset the Threnal East / West by mistake".

If you are guarding Coyle for 15 minutes and get less than 15k xp on elite, with flawless bonus, then the xp should be increased. This is a quest people fail often on the first few runs, making the completion time more like 45 minutes to get the first completion in. So by that scale, making it worth 30-50k xp after all the tomes, xp pots and ship shrines would be reasonalbe.

I won't argue with you Adam, but my point was there are (short) quests in Threnal that grant 0 favor and, in a Church Lady's voice, "That's not right."
