View Full Version : Monster Manual view controls, etc.

viewing the 3d models of all the monsters in the monster manual can be pretty neat, and hopefully there will be a control button to zoom in/out for looking at the 3d avatars/models in the future...especially before the more advanced monsters/fiends/boss entries come out.

its kinda like looking at "trophies" for kills, if you will. you wanna be able to look at the details from all angles and such.

if you guys are familiar with it, remember the aurora toolset from neverwinter nights? you could inspect the monsters and had normal controls to change the zoom distance and/or angle. plus, you could view some of their attack/action animations as well.

perhaps this could also be an additional feature for players grinding the MM? where you could select and view the monster's different animations (attacks/casting/walking/running/dying), say you could view the walk animation after completing the 1st character deed, and so on.

thats up to the programmers/developers, mate. they should be able to implement it smooth-like, if theyre gonna put it in. and i seriously doubt that a great deal of lag will come from a simple zoom distance control feature. we can already spin around the models. and theyre already moving, only in their basic stance. but yeah, that might be one of the reasons why its not in the MM yet, which is a shame since its here, y'know? we should just be able to view all the monsters properly. normally. simply. and yes, without lag.
