Heya community,

I'm new to DDO and the mechanics used in here.
So to play it safe I'm going to put my trust in the community to help me set up in the right direction.

I would want to roll a Warforged Dual-wielding DPS, just for fun. I don't have any high requirements but I do want to have some survivability so I won't trip or die easily from whatever the game will throw at me. Another request is that I prefer it to be a pure fighter build so I won't have to worry much and simply kick back and relax playing the game.

Unless you really really REALLY want a warforged, they are mechanically way behind other races for fighter. I very strongly recommend you go Human or Half-elf instead. Look for the best heavy armor you can find: it gives you AC (causes misses) and PRR (makes hits hurt less).

Feats:
Dodge
Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Khopesh
Weapon Focus and Greater and Superior
Weapon Specialization and Greater
Power Attack
Improved Sunder
Improved Critical
Two Weapon Defense
Grab Stunning Blow early on and see how you like it
Toughness in your non-fighter slots, as many as you like

Enhancements:
Kensei
Weapon Specialization
Haste Boost
Human Improved Recovery
Human Versatility
Strength
Armor Mastery if necessary to get your max Dodge % up enough

Epicwise, not sure yet.

.

There's a lot of choices you have to pick, but in combat it's pretty easy.

kinerd pretty much summed it up. half elf with cleric or fvs dilly is best bet. full on scroll healing wand buffing raise dead remove neg level. i can solo pretty much anything with my 900 hp and complete self healing

I sort of got told that Khopeshes are expensive a lot.

Isn't there a more cheaper alternative that's easier to deal with?
IG Money-wise then that is.

Good weapons tend to not be ones you can buy with plat.

The best weapons you can get are crafted of some sort (my fighter uses mainly Green Steel khopeshes, along with Cannith-Crafted, for most fights...though I have Green Steel warhammers for undead) or otherwise BTC. My recommendation is to work on Cannith Crafting, and make some decent weapons for yourself for leveling (+whatever holy of bleeding are awesome for early on). The benefit of this is that you can buy good-looking weapons for cheap and use them for crafting, rather than spending a lot more for a comparable weapon on the AH.

Beyond that, if you are going pure fighter, definitely go half-elf.

One other recommendation, take cleave and great cleave...this leaves you open for the Overwhelming Critical epic feat, which is delicious. They are also a quite nice damage spike for grabbing aggro.

Could you make a level by level build then?

Since I'd like to go on the easy track... :P

So no TWF or improved and greater?

No one going to make a step by step thing..?

Guess I'll try to do stuff myself or else roll that monk class, seems pretty interesting too.

If you really don't want to use Khopesh, then use scimitars (Which doesn't require exotic weapon proficiency).

You need 15 dex for TWF...go with 16 str and the rest in con. Dex can be 15 from the start, or you could go with 13 dex then add +2 Dex tome at lvl 7. You want to get con as high as possible.

For feats...you should take Toughness (take this as often as you can and still fit your other feats), the TWF feats (maybe exclude Oversized TWF), Improved Crtitical-slashing, the weapon specailization feats, the weapons focus feats, power attack, Stunning Blow, and any other prerequisites for the Kensai line.

For enhancements, take the Kensai Line, Fighter Strength, Human Adaptability Str & Con (If you choose Human), Weapon Specialization, multiple toughness enhancements, and any others that seem useful to you.

For skills, add points to Balance and Jump (20 would be enough for Jump), and haggle if you have any left over.

Put all of your level-ups into strength.

So no TWF or improved and greater?Ha! I thought I missed something. Still plenty of room, though.
