View Full Version : Bard Looking for feedback about SS/AA and DC's

The reason for the build is as a Spellslinger I would like to get my holds and Disco balls to work, while using a paralyzing bow with slaying arrows and spewing many shot. I'm trying to capitalize on the new Epic destiny's coming mainly Turn of the tide.

(Active Cooldown: 1.30mins) Expend a Song to activate, Turn of the Tide grants a +5 to hit, +20% damage, DR 13/-, and deals +5d20 +100 Sonic damage per hit. (Sonic damage does not affect Bosses.). In addition, while under the effects of Turn of the Tide. Duration: 20 seconds.)*Confirmed to work with many shot on beta*


Here are my concerns:
1 giving up capstone
2 not having two spell pen feats
3 no heighten
4 Only one Bard Improved Spell Penetration ehancement
5 Would I be better of as a Bard Virtuoso

Will this gimp me too bad and am I missing anything that would take away my effectiveness in epics? Would going Bard Virtuoso for Enthrallment and Song of Capering be better. I'm not sure if Enthrallment and Capering suffer from spellpen.

You won't be able to spell CC reliably - too many hits through the things you listed.

Lacking DCs - from non maxed charisma, no capstone, and Heighten for disco ball = DC will be too low to spell CC reliably.
Spell pen is a little lacking.

Tou might find it easier to drop charisma a bit and go virt.
