All I read now is if you don't have 100+ ac or 200% healing amp or 1khp your a terrible tank. Sure we've gone through phases here in DDO where DR and Intimidate were king, Barbs could tank favored souls could tank and what have you and even when Warforged were great tanks.

Sadly now if you even mention a Warforged tank the first thing you get from the "experts" is you are gimp and your doing it wrong etc etc. What I propose and I'm sure there will be opposition is to put in Repair Amplification for Warforged. Perhaps this can fit into the new Enhancement System 3.0 perhaps even sooner but I think it would help anyone who actually enjoys Warforged come back into play as competitive tanks.

While I'm on the subject I think other races need looked at for reasons they can tank as well. I'm not saying that every race should get Healing amp like humans but perhaps they should be given something that makes them more competitive in this human/half-elf tank world perhaps DR or miss chance or something to make them viable. After all next to the combat one of the best things in this game is the ability to make new and unique builds.

Repair amp was actually mentioned by Eladrin awhile back in this quote and I hope some work or thought was put into making this happen.


Wholeness of Body and Lay on Hands, when used on a Warforged, would use Repair Amplification instead of Positive Energy Healing Amplification. (Hmm, we could use some Repair Amplification, huh?)

The issue isn't human, WF, halflings, whatever . . . the issue is poor-choices in quest/game design that makes the only thing viable in the most difficult raid in the game HP and healing amp.

It's making a raid where 500-1000 heal-scrolls are needed for a completion.

Fix the game, not the races. Though you should have your halflings spayed or neutered to prevent over-population.

Simply due to the lack of "repair amp", warforged have never been what I would call good tanks.

I've asked for repair amp before. It would be nice to see it in game even if was only 10 and 20%.

It is pretty sad that a WF can be healed for more than it can be reconstructed for via scrolls because of healing amp class enhancements and gear.

WF have the inate Non-healer friendliness at the start which makes them 50% less effective to heal vs reconstuct.
That makes sense, healing amp gear and enhamncements are needed to get this better, but any heal amp they have does not contribute to repair.

I think that the healing amp enhancements and gear should affect reconstruct in the ratio of healer friendliness the WF has....
No ranks of Healers friend = 50% of any healing amp enhancements and gear
3 ranks = 75% of any healing amp enhancments and gear.

So WF wearing Leviks Bracers would get 20% healing amp / or 10% repair amp
Heal vs Reconstruct would look more like this...

WF with no tiers of Healers Friend
Heal scroll 100HP *.75(WF)*1.2Leviks*1.3Claw= 117HP
Reconstruct 100HP*1(WF) *1.1Leviks*1.15Claw=139HP

WF with all 3 tiers of Healers friend Leviks(20%) and Gloves of the Claw(30&).
Heal scroll 100HP *.75(WF)*1.2Leviks*1.3Claw= 128HP
Reconstruct 100HP*1(WF) *1.15Leviks*1.2Claw=151HP

Instead of the current system where healing amp has no impact on WF.
Heal scroll 100HP *.75(WF)*1.2Leviks*1.3Claw= 117HP
Reconstruct 100HP *1(WF) = 100HP
