So DDO points are on sale until December 26th. But it seems the prices on these point codes (http://store.turbine.com/store/turbine/html/pbPage.ddopage) are even better (at least the 5k pack is). Do these sales also end on the 26th? And why are they a better deal than the in-game point packs?

Just trying to figure it out. :) Thanks.

They do also end on the 26th, and with the exception of the new 23,000 Point Bundle, they're not a better deal than the in-game point packs. They are cheaper, but they don't give as many points.

Those are there to offer various price points to you guys, and also to provide payment options not currently available in the in-game Store like ClickandBuy.

Thanks for the reply. Respectfully, though, 5000 points for $36.49 seems like a rather better deal than 4100 points for $34.99. (17% better, in fact.)

Very true. :)

I was thinking more about 8850 points for $59.99 being better than the 5000 point offer, since those are the two "traditional" top bundles. If you're willing to buy the bigger bundles you'll get substantially more value, but at the ~$35 price point, yes, the 5000 point offer is better.

Well I bought the 8850 myself, but a friend of mine wants to make a purchase and with this discrepancy is looking at the point card instead of the in-game purchase. Anyway, I guess he's got a couple of days to decide.

Thanks.

I dont understand this turbine store ( http://store.turbine.com/store/turbine/html/pbPage.ddopage )...do I need to make a new account and then get a point code?

Dear QuarterMasterM,

I recently bought the $34.99 pack for 4100 points. That was yesterday. Is it possible to change that to to the $36.49 pack for 5000?? I haven't spent any points yet and it would really help me out. I didn't know about these other point packages at the time and I would have totally bought that other one.
