View Full Version : How to solve the Guild Renown Decay issues

Dump It!

As I stated in another post "Turbine nerfed it by making guilds a requirement to play the game (with the buffs you can only get in a guild and the guild required items) and by making the guilds have to earn renown to level (for better buffs, bigger ships, and the whole decay debacle). The simplist fix to this whole thing is to drop the decay - there problem solved as no one would care at that point who is contributing and who isnt."

This leaves the guilds and Guild leaders free to get back to what is really important - playing and having fun.

If decay is not there, all guilds will be level 100. That doesn't make sense.

A better option would be to add multipliers to tiers. Officers generate more renown and more decay, or something like that.

Actually why shouldn't every guild get to 100 eventually - is it really that much of an e-peen for certain players to be in a higher level guild?

I do really like the officer idea or something similar as this would allow the possibility of having both hard-core and casual players in the same guild.
