I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but there are new armor kits (Bull and Bronze) that can be previewed by hitting "click to preview" at no Turbine Point cost. Nice change, that 1 TP per preview thing always bugged me, glad to see they listened to the complaints!

The new kits look pretty spiffy, too :)

Don't have time to post anything at the moment, but will definitely get on that in a few hours ;)

All the armor kits have it now, I believe.
You hit 'Preview' and the armor kit is applied to you for a minute tops, anywhere you are. Probably more like 30 seconds?

Lawl. Something tells me they only tested that on WF/Half-Orc or something.

Well, it's reassuring to know that Turbine's vision of armor in this game continues unabated and unchanged. That's one thing we can count on, it seems.

Forget PrEs and Druid... give us more really bad looking armor!

The huge shoulder pads are only on the light armor, all the other ones are a lot more reasonably proportioned.

That being said, I actually LIKE the ridiculously huge shoulder pads. Say what you will about it, it's a very DIFFERENT look than most of the armor we've seen so far. Then again, I've been going for a Mad Max look on my artificer already, so it's not like I can be said to have taste or anything :p

EDIT: The huge shoulder pads are pretty hilarious, and yeah, only on the light armor version. The biggest problem with them is that when you move they kinda push into your head a bit.

EDIT 2: Someone else got more pictures below, check those out!

Those shoulder pads probably do choking damage when you feather fall…

Finally, admantine body docents that are actually different than random gen that has been in the game for years.

Thumbs up to the steam kit.

Looks like the armor you used to test Medium was actually a Heavy armor, as those images are all the Heavy armor images. You can see it most clearly with Bull 2 and Cannith 2, which are both clearly different from the Light and Heavy varieties.

Here are some mediums:

The armor I use was a +2 Mithral splint mail armor looks like the kit recognized it as Heavy Armor instead of the medium (mithral) armor.

It's a shame that some of those aren't the medium armor versions as well, as Bull 2 on heavy armor is one of the best female armor kits I've seen.

Oh really? That IS a very nice change, that applies to all the armor kits and is a ddo store button?

Looks pretty fugly to me... funny how something can be both titillating and butt ugly. Leave it to Turbine.

I might just second that little dance, no more TP bleed from being an outfit<censored> is awesome!

...that said, I am unimpressed with these armors as a whole, for fleshies. The Steam - Dark/Steel one on a WF looks pretty awesome, though. When I TR, I think I'll go with a gold tone just for that armor kit.

Eh.. Bulls 2 isn't the worst looking if you're going for super hero...

http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/1694/screenshot00020e.jpg

They do need to fix up the armor kit store before this hits live though. Things I noticed:

While you can preview any armor with the new preview button - there's still 1tp previews for sale for all the old armors... and the 1TP ones also last the same 30s as the preview button (but still have the MUST BE IN AN ARMORSHOP requirement)
There's a bunch of 1TP preview armors that have no corresponding available armor - like spiral/Steel.

Going to guess they'll pull all the 1TP preview armors out of the store and just let people use the preview buttons on the armor kits.

And a year from now, when druids will come (verily!), they will only be able to wild shape into pandas...

At least they cut back on the skulls ...

I can see it now (well, then):
"What!?!?! THEY. DIDN'T. LIKE. MY. SKULZ!!?!?!"
"Easy, Ed, easy.....!"
"Fine! No skulz. Sure. I can do that."
"<whew> Thanks, Ed."
"....they're really gonna like these shoulder pads....muhuhahahahaha!"
